  • It was compulsory to have two girls on each team. One in goal and one to take penalties

  • A bit like Liverpool last season then.

  • Why dont they leave us alone? We dont insist on a male being included in embroidery competitions. a perfectly good sporting day out ruined. And i bet you had to patronise the fuck out of them. its a lose lose situation. I feel for you man

  • So speaketh the modern man*

Well lets face it Bernard Manning is quite modern by Brummagem standards.

  • He was. The fat cunt's pushing up daisies now.

  • 5 penalties down and we were all level. I scored mine and it went to sudden death

It was compulsory to have two girls on each team. One in goal and one to take penalties

Is there something you ain't telling us?

  • So speaketh the modern man*

Well lets face it Bernard Manning is quite modern by Brummagem standards.

I know. im a complex personality. I also believe women should be allowed to play with men in the prem etc. just stop forcing us amateurs to mingle

  • rodgers to bid for fellani

    F*** OFF

  • Yep, done deal.

He was a good servant to the club, and had his moments, but I think it's a good time for him to leave, we need an actual right winger now, rather than playing strikers or central midfielder (or Pennant) for the last 10 years.

Yeah but what fucking idiot allowed him to leave for a European team for £1M in his final year having signed him for 11x that amount??

  • Yeah but what fucking idiot allowed him to leave for a European team for £1M in his final year having signed him for 11x that amount??

How's the amount we bought him for relevant?

He's only worth what someone will pay for him. Better £1M now than an unhappy player and nothing in 12 months time.

  • new contract get him up front as a striker

  • Will ferdinand just fuck off. Bitching about not being included in the squad. what a fucking moron. he isnt fit enough. He will have to be rested every other game at least.

    Obnoxious self righteous nob

  • he sounds like he thinks he has a right to be in the squad

  • No one should have a right to be in the squad. It should be the best players available at that time. Which Rio has not been for some time

  • They are clearly resting him for the Olympics. Fergie won't allow him to play both.

  • ^ Diving with that little shiny kid Tom Daley?

  • i don't do twitter, but has joey barton quoted any philosophers over his weekend antics yet ?

did he use decartes to justify why he got beaten up
did he use socrates to rail against the unfairnesses in society ?
or is he licking his wounds somewhere feeling sorry for himself ?

  • He said that it wasn't as bad as people had said.

Getting knocked out isn't pleasant though.

  • Jonathon Wilson on Hodgson, and the chicken soup nature of 442 or 4411, for the english game..
    Interesting read...

  • On Liverpool, Kuyt was always going to go, he's a striker and he wants to be played as such. Fair play to get out of a club where he's been typecast and is third in line to the throne, and to go someplace where he is the man.

Hoping Rodgers, keeps faith with Aquilani, who is probably the ball playing creative midfielder that Liverpool have been hungering for the past couple of seasons. Seems he came back to form playing back in Italy, and if he's injury free, a central midfield partnership of him and Lucas, could be quite dynamic.

Rodgers will have done his homework, and be willing to use what he's got, and then fill the gaps. No team has oodles of money apart from the obvious ones, and he'll have to work within financial constraints, but one of the good things about him, is the fact he's given players from the lower leagues a chance and they've flourished in the premiership. It's not all about big money buys, it's about finding the small town gems that make the team better, and if required can be sold on for profit later on...

Also like Villa getting hold of Lambert. He'll instil some backbone into that team of underachievers. But also liking the managers who Swansea have on their managerial wishlist, with the surprise being Marcel Desailly

"Michael Laudrup, the former Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid and Denmark midfielder, is another potential candidate to replace Rodgers, now at Liverpool, but the claims of Brighton & Hove Albion's Gus Poyet, the former Rayo Vallecano coach José Ramón Sandoval and Graeme Jones, Roberto Martinez's assistant at Wigan Athletic"

And Clint what do you think of this speculation...

"West Bromwich Albion continue to maintain interest in the former Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick in addition to Gus Poyet, Michael Appleton and Alan Curbishley"

    from this article..

  • Marko Marin is signing for Chelsea, I'm surprised nothing has really been in the news about this.
    He's quite a good player.

  • Rio's a little bitch, never liked him.

  • How's the amount we bought him for relevant?

    Are you serious???
An extreme example: Do you think having signed CR7 for £80M Real would allow a clause in his contract to leave for £8M in his final year?

He's only worth what someone will pay for him. Better £1M now than an unhappy player and nothing in 12 months time.

So you really think that he only worth £1M? If so, you're being soft as fuck. It's the kind of clause that is put in by the player's agent to allow them a way out NOT for the benefit of the club. You think Rafa would have lost him for a paultry €1M?

  • I think it doesn't make sense for him to have left for so little.
But he wasn't wanted under Kenny and so Liverpool made no effort to keep him - in the end they want him off the wage bill and aren't likely to have him kicking around, risking getting injured and then losing the chance to sell him.

Anyway Kagawa to Man Utd, looks a decent signing and terrific business from Dortmund.

Hulk and Marin look set for Chelsea, which you would think means that Malouda will be on his way (and Lukaku?) I'm assuming Piazon, Mcechran and De Bruyne will be brought in for them as well...

I'm intrigued to see who both Norwich and Swansea go for - and how this effects them in the 'difficult' second season.
