  • i was in fowey this weekend. there's no way that match should have been called off. it was only a force 10.

    Yeah, Barnsley were fawky lucky.

    (PS: still pissing myself laughing)

  • Bullard should be going to SA if he stays fit, he can play in many possitions and has a true fighting spirit that many English players are critisised for lacking.

  • Arshavin is a forward but the problem/good thing is that Wenger doesn't seem to think so.
Wenger should try and get Roque Santa Cruz in on loan from Man City, he'd be ideal for you.

  • My thoughts exactly, he has the game we miss, to greater striker to be warming the bench

Hasn't he got gammy knees though? living on borrowed time

  • He's a good lookin cunt too

  • and borrowed money.
    johnny ryall.

  • Arsenal's home form so far;

    P5 W5 F20 A4

Pretty sure that will read P6 W6 after the weekend too.

    More like...

    P6 W6 F29 A4

Let's save these for Monday, shall we?

    Andy, Greasy

    How are things?

  • Not bad Clive, but I imagine you're somewhat more chipper than me or Pip today?

  • Arsenal is midtable

    Harsh but fair

I'll be shocked if his career isn't over by June. Shame. I don't think Capello would take a Championship player anway...

Let's just be the bigger men we are Andy and admit the team with the more expensive striker won. We forget Clive is a long in the tooth Chelsea fan and through no choice of his own he now has to support Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Cole week in and week out. that takes some stomaching!

  • I believe he has the capacity.

  • Oooff. Below the (ample) belt, Tim.

  • I ment to support Terry,Cole and Drogba, it was certainly was not a poke at his figure.

  • which has been mentioned twice now.

  • I've been going to Chelsea since '85 and can say I happily pay to go and see Terry, Cole and Drogba.

As for great goals last weekend, this one stands out a bit.

  • Of course you do, they at least can play football unlike their 1980s equivalents, Dixon, Speedie and Micky Thomas.

The Bridge is a somewhat more hospitable place these days too.

  • One considerable advantage of hanging around with football supporters as opposed to cyclists is that among football supporters, I am considered slender. Cyclists are generally underfed.

    Eat more pies!

  • I actually enjoyed the concrete benches in front of the West stand.

  • I would have liked to watch the Red Cunts play the Blue Cunts but Cheasea were always going to win sending the mighty Spurs to third in the table. Haha, the Red Cunts also played the Blue Cunts up in Liverpool as well.

I think you need to go back a little further than Dixon Speedie and Thomas. Those three players were part of the start of the transformation of Chelsea to what it is today.

Phil Driver, Peter Rhodes-Brown, Peta Barota, Keith Dublin, Graham Wilkins and a few others were the names you were searching for.

Mind you, I always loved Driver who played his debut for Chelsea in a 6-0 drubbing of Newcastle in the second div (1979) when Chris Waddle made his first team debut for the Barcodes. Barota was always a hero as well.

Dixon was a great player and is a legend at Chelsea. Thomas was inspirational. Speedie was a determined player who teamed up superbly with Dixon but fought far harder than Dixon ever needed to.

If you want to spout on about "history", learn some ;o)

  • You missed the point Clive, like Terry, Cole and Drogba, Dixon, Speedie and Thomas were horrible, nasty cunts. But at least the current Chelsea team play football.

  • david speedie. fucking hell. he even haunts me on here.
