  • Still smiling from that result. Jaw your comments there made me smile even more.

The Sky commentator commenting on Ivanovich missing the next game, what a fucker, did he really need to say that?

  • That's the point - everyone knows he is.

I'm a Chelsea fan and know he is, his attempt to initially deny it was so embarrassing.

  • Love it on here when there's a big game....all the plastics come out of their caves

  • Is the Real v Bayern game tonight?

  • yup
    on ITV1

  • if mourihno gets through, then lets chelsea win, then gets the £10mn per year contract from chelsea as manager next season
i will be spitting my dummy

  • He won't go back to Chelsea. Even if he wins the CL.

  • Why would he?

  • Well played Chelsea. They managed to do what Arsenal couldn't.

    And Manchester United.

    Amen.

How can a team that is not top of its league and out in the early stages of the Champions League be described as "the best team in the world" ?

Errr, cos they have won the World Club Championship? (And everything else until Saturday night).

  • like 90% of the world $£$£$£$$$£$£$££$ MONEY of course

but anyway he won't be going back, phew thanks for putting my mind at rest b&d

  • Mourinho wins the CL with Porto and leaves, wins the CL with Inter and leaves again, let's see if he can get those Franquistas to the final and we'll see what happens in 4 weeks time. Until then I'm not saying another word on the matter.

  • You really think he'll go back to Chelsea even though Abramovich is still there?

Lionel Missi did you a real favour

  • He won't go back to Chelsea. Even if he wins the CL.

He's coming to Anfailed. It's in the bag.

    #hastoclingontosomehopeinhisdepressedstate

  • He's coming to Villa Park to get us promotion back into the EPL.

  • lol
Will mcDog Leash manage to get two decent Brum clubs relegated in two seasons?

  • Have to say that was one of the most intense footballing nights of my life.
Watching TS live and die with every kick, foul, hit post, missed chance and late winners, is something not easily forgotten.

It had to be Torres to score the winner. If JT fouls sanchez with the ball anywhere near them its only a yellow. Still not sure that Barca goal was offside. Messi missing a penalty, for fuckssake.
Not quite sure what team Chelsea will line up for the final, and I lost count of which players would be missing for it, but a lot of players who have come up big in the last couple of weeks won't be available, i'd hate to try and beat Real or Bayern with Malouda and Kalou up front, and Bosingwa and Luiz at the back. It probably won't be pretty.

But fair do's to Chelsea, they held on, Ramires got an amazing goal, and then they defending like demons. Not sure why they were even trying to break out of defense as, as soon as they lost the ball, barca had more space to go to work..

After seeing them lose to Madrid on Saturday I mentioned Barca's lack of a striker to get on the shoulder of the last man, but what was evident was that sometimes someone needs to have a go from the edge of the box, too often xavi or iniesta or fabregas or alves or messi, would collect a pass with a bit of space and then would shuffle it over, looking for the killer ball into the penalty area and a higher percentage chance on goal, only for the ball to be blocked, the chance to be scuffed or the player turned away and the attack started again... Some long range efforts with such clean strikers of the ball would have been better than no attempt on goal at all...

Barca have a lot of thinking and reassessing to do. I'm hoping Guardiola makes another run at it, and figures out a way of making barca even more potent.

Congratulations to chelsea, but as they say be careful what you wish for, either Mourinho and a ruthlessly efficient counter attacking Real or Bayern at their home arena. Either will be tasty...

  • I think it's pretty obvious, having watched el Clasico, that Barcelona are all out of energy & ideas.

Also, is it just me, or was Valdes, over the 3 games (CL SFs & el C), at fault for 4 of the 5 goals?

  • are chelsea's suspensions only valid in the cl or are they just the next games?

  • fly, european football only I believe..

  • fair. I'm going to stamford bridge for the first time next week and was hoping chelsea would've shot themselves in the foot.

On another note, the only positive i can see of chelsea beating barca is that everyone will now stfu about la liga, as a poor quality outfit struggling to qualify for europe has beaten one of their supposed 'greats'.

until real madrid take up the mantle

i think cesc fabregas broke barcelona, since he arrived they've been shit !! ish

The champions of La Liga comprehensively beat the champions of the Premier League in the Champions League final last season, likewise in 2009. That may be why people talk about the superiority of La Liga over the PL.

  • aye, but thats 2 clubs man. my point is that chelsea are languishing in 6th yet they are still able to beat barca. I'm not saying I think newcastle could do it, but there is more parity between the top clubs here.
