The Heysel question I said '86 instead of '85 which I still think I am right.
Although Heysel was in May '85(end of season), the ban surely wouldn't have come into place til the next season, '86
Qstn 9, I answered Koeman, oh well. The other 2 I got wrong were before my time
-
• #5204
Aye - I got the Heysel ban wrong, but then again your first games would've been 1985/6 season, so I suppose they're right.

An away win in Europe with 10 key players out, players out of position and top of the group :-)
Oh yeah, Celtic are wank - bottom of the group!

Are Bate Borisov a team or is just one bloke, 'cos if it's the latter I'm not surprised you beat 'em.

How did City get on in Europe this week?
-
• #5211
Well we got the quarters last year, we've bigger fish to fry this season. Hopefully taking a CL spot off Liverpool or preferably fucking Arsenal.

And you got to the Qtrs of UEFA last year how exactly? Not finishing in the top 6....but for The Fair Play Award and finishing 10th....TENTH!!!
-
• #5214
Does it matter how you get there ? It's at least as valid as finishing 4th and getting in the CL. FFS Liverpool won it 2005 and half their supporters can't aren't old enough to remember when they were actual English champions.
You doing any Euro aways ?
-
• #5215
To be let into a European competition just cos you didn't foul as many players as others is a shite reason.
Might wait til after the group stage for aways - finances/other commitments etc, although I'm very tempted to do Benfica away in a couple of weeks...
Did a couple last season, good times -

Those that do don't stop banging on about it
Arsenal will win the CL this year. Wenger knows it's his only chance, not got the squad for the league but we have the players to take on Europe. -
• #5217
Arsenal'll be lucky to get to the Semi's imo
-
• #5218
Arsenal have little chance, don't fancy 'em beating Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool or Barca.
The cunts.

• #5219
Depends on the run and fitness of players. but you can tell by the way he plays he is all out for it.
Chelsea are the ones that worry me the most, Utd without the orange lad aren't so bad, Liverpool the same..
Rosiky, Nasri, Theo, Fab, Arshavin.. all firing and we meet the big teams on the big stages i think we can crack it.no need to worry Ronnie, you'll be at home watching eastenders

Tottenham press conference at 5pm.
Redknapp sacked or quits.
News of the World have a story on him being a rayshalist, or summat.
-
• #5223
A run of bets on him going at the bookies;
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/oct/02/harry-redknapp-odds-sack-race
What are the odds that it's bollocks, akin to the Arsene Wenger paedophile story?

It's likely Redknapp is behind the rumours himself, and has got his mates putting bets on. Similar happened when he left Soton for Pompey.
On the other hand, I can't stand Spurs, so him leaving them floundering would be excellent, maybe they could get Glen Hoddle back.
Got 6 out of 10. Got 5, 7, 8 & 9 wrong
Must try harder :-(
