  • Mike Riley WAC. Cannot be just incompetent. His behaviour puts the intergrity of the league into question. When Chelsea were awarded a penalty a couple of years ago at Anfield, the referee apologised and was banned. Silence from Mavis. Silence from the scouse loving press. Silence from the FA. Oh, and The Fat Controller failed to see it.

    Gerrard = cheat
    Alonso = cheat
Scholari = incompetent. Man for man, Chelsea have a far better team than the murderers. Scholari says the murderers were better. Reason can only be his failure to motivate and his failure tactically. Leaving the best striker in the league on the bench is rather a questionable tactic once. To do it repeatedly deserves the sack.

    Have you been drinking Clive?

I have to agree about Old Mother Riley. He's an utter tosser. No way should Lampard have been sent off yesterday.

Drogba is finished at Chelsea. He's been sulking since Mourinho left and hasn't turned a decent performance in since. The best striker in the league? Hmm. I'd say the best striker in the league scored twice yesterday.

  • Chelsea are rocking because the money is on its way out of the club, Roman has pulled tight the purse strings and the reality of life without being bankrolled is kicking in. those gready cnuts who signed for the money are losing interest.....

shit club no history... always will be

Please don't refer to Liverpool as 'the murderers', it's not polite and will seriously piss people off.

Fair enough that you might not like a team, but keep it sensible, just makes you look like a tit.

  • Seems Rafa wants to get rid of Robbie Keane, the mighty Spurs are in with a cheeky 15m bid, we're also supposed to be keeping tabs on quaresma whose fallen out of favour with mourinho @ inter.
Much as I love robbie, not sure grabbing him back is such a good idea, he and defoe weren't the greatest partnership when they were at the lane, and what's Darren Bent supposed to be thinking, finally the strikers in front of him leaves, and he's not doing too badly in front of goal, not great but not bad and then the new boss buys the strikers that were surplus to requirements back..
you got to love harry houdini ;-P

The best partner for Darren Bent would be a black chuckle brother, but in this partnership he would have to change career away from a profesional football. which clearly isn't working for him ;)

  • andy - I never drink.

    Drogba is not sulking.

  • I love the idea that Chelsea and other clubs who were not heavily financed in the 1970s and 1980s apparently lack history and therefore are not meant to win any titles. Only members of the former "Big 6" or G14 are allowed to do that.

By crapping on about Chelsea and other teams lacking history, you are denying 86 teams' supporters their passion and devotion to their clubs. It is funny how I have never met a Liverpool or Arsenal supporter who has followed their side away in a lower division, nor have I met one who would ever do that. They started supporting those sides because they were successful and not through any passion.

Sadly, Liverpool's history does contain Heysel and Hillsborough. One can no more deny that than one can deny the Hollocaust.

  • would you care to shine a light on the details of these tragedies?

  • Multi Groves, dear chap, there is plenty written about them and available on the internet.

An Arsenal fan would have to be at least 82 to have followed them in the lower leagues. A Chelsea fan, on the other hand, would have to be just 20.

we don't need anymore video technology, and our constant harping, both press, managers and fans alike, for video technology won't make the decisions any easier. Video technology slows down whichever sport its introduced into, generally american ones, since they are more television dominated.
The things that we love about the game, the pace, the flow, the back and forth would all be lost.
Who decides what is replayed, how often, in what context, can the managers decide, should it just be the referee, is there an overseer who can over rule the referee on the pitch.
Television has created an environment where everything can be seen and replayed and discussed endlessly, but those who call for replays don't understand the disruption it will cause, it is a crutch for managers who want to secure their employment and as a way of bailing themselves out of a match that has gone away from them. Video technology will be interesting for the armchair fan but will destroy the game as seen live.
Just watch any american football or baseball game. The referee on the pitch is integral to fotball and we should be spending more time and money making
referees better, more accountable, more articulate, and we should also be making the rules of the game clearer to everyone, fans, players, managers.

IMHO we should do less whining and ranting, about the decisions that went against us (insert football team of choice here), and the need for video replay to sort out the rubbish referees that infect our game, and more debate about why your team is playing badly/well outside of that, and how can the standard of refereeing be improved.

as an aside which referees do the people on here think are good? are there any?

    anyone, anyone,

    bueller!!

  • Corny, we needed a video ref when Mendes scored from the half way line against ManU a few sesons back. That was the worst decision I have ever seen. But......

.........it was funny when during an England v Holland frendly with Jol in the studio they gave that as goal of the month.

  • for that situation gotti, I'd have preferred the techhnology that uefa/fifa? decided not to use, chip in the ball, sensors on the posts, and along the pitch, tells you when a ball has crossed the line, little alert to the ref, linesman, no problem, whistle it up get on with game, no need to pussyfoot about with watching this, or checking that, probably easy enough to use in any league game anywhere.

+1 to that - From the American who dislikes most American sports on TV for that exact reason. The flow of the game, it's all about the flow of the game.

PS - Cheers Liverpool - £5m for a 6 month loan of Keane - that is good business :)*

    • - Assuming the rumours are correct
  • Nice result for us yesterday. Chelsea shouldn't have had 10 men on the pitch though, it should have been 9 for what can only be described as ABH on Benuyoun in the final minutes. Lampard, LOL what a wanker, he got his desserts. We deserved the win, Chelsea were a bunch of diving, shameless cheats.

Still, we won;t win the league, but it's always nice to hammer another nail in Chelseas coffin

Hang on a minute, Lampard should NEVER have been sent off

And correct me if I'm wrong but did I see Gerrard getting booked for diving?? Fuck me, that's a first!

  • Spurs are a comical team - most expensive relegation fight ever???

  • Mike Riley WAC.
    Gerrard = cheat
    .

    You've only just realised?

Gerrard' the biggest diver in the Prem, joint with Ronaldo and Drogba

And Riley should never ref a Prem game again imo, biggest tit ever!(that title used to belong to Graham Poll)

  • Please don't refer to Liverpool as 'the murderers', it's not polite and will seriously piss people off.

Fair enough that you might not like a team, but keep it sensible, just makes you look like a tit.

Try saying that to 39 Italians!

  • Possibly the most expensive - but teams have bad seasons. 2-3 years ago Everton were in the Champions Leage from finishing fourth the season before and barely escaped relegation with an almost identical squad. The managerial turnover has not helped. On the plus side Levy does spend but if he bought a lot less tat that would be beneficial.

  • I said way back in Nov that Keane was getting his P45, Gerrard told my mate

  • I went to a dinner recently where Poll was a sspeaker. He said that the only thing that fans discuss after a game is the refereeing. Total bollocks. Arrogant nonsense.

Corney, whenever I say something good about a ref they then go on to disappoint me. They are all substandard (if that is not an oxymoron).

  • Hillsbrough and Heysel cannot be compared, two different tragedies for two TOTALLY different reasons

  • I said way back in Nov that Keane was getting his P45, Gerrard told my mate

Was that when Gerrard was asking him to change his tune?

  • Jeff Winter = tit
    Mike Riley = tit
    Graham 'Liver' Poll = tit
    Rob Styles = tit
Mark Clattenburg = tit and rightly sacked!!!

  • Was that when Gerrard was asking him to change his tune?

    Sorry, you've lost me

All I know was Gerrard told my mate they wanted to get rid as it wasn't working and they'd spent too much on a buy that wasn't Rafa's, he never wanted him - the yanks sanctioned it

  • Brazilian flop Jo is at Finch Farm(our training ground) undergoing a medical as I type and is to expected to be revealed an Everton player this evening
