  • I had no idea Heskey was still playing at the top level.

  • The Powerhouse...?

  • Very good win for Liverpool today I thought we bossed the midfield with lots of nice short interchanges. Very little in the way of long balls. Shelvey looked good, making his first Premiership start and we didn't miss Lucas too much. Would probably need a bit more steel in there against the top teams but we have a very easy Christmas period ending in a game against City. I expect us to be in the top 4 come this round of games :)

  • Bring. On. Frimpong.

  • Up to 3rd, game in hand. Good win at home given the new Martin O'Neil organised Sunderland. Could have been tricky but sounds like should have scored more in the first half. 3 points are 3 points. COYS!

  • I had no idea you were a dirty lilyshite.

  • I didnt want any of those results today

  • I had no idea you were a dirty lilyshite.

For many a year sunshine. When I had to make my choice at boarding school it was full of UK Military brats ergo Wet Spammers, Villains and non-Scouse Reds.

Naturally I chose Tottenham. All style, all class, and well before Chelsea could claim anything stylish beyond having a boot named after their 'hood.

Also - was it just me or did every other Panini sticker pack in 1980-81 have the Villa gold badge in it?

    This!

    Yeah, but Tottingham...

  • This!

We'll always have the Mexican Food thread, jaw. Always.

Come on Spurs! Fingers crossed for the Chelsea game. That will be massive if we can go 5 points clear.

  • The Arsenal were unlucky today. Played the better football but looked a long way off our best. Usual mistake in defence, but I'll take that given the. Cash city have spent on attacking players.

    Draw would have been fair

  • I disagree...City had the clearer chances to score and just after going up could've got at least 1 more very quickly. The Arse gave the ball away very sloppily and this was epitomised by Gervinho who btw has the biggest forehead in the EPL. The guy constantly made bad decisions and looks nothing more than an outlet up front to chase balls and relieve pressure at the back, which I don't think he did well at all...in fact Citys goal came from him losing the ball in the oppositions final 3rd. Would love to say something negative about Walcott but unfortunately he didn't touch the ball for the entire time he was on the pitch and then threw a mare when he got subbed, WAC. Overall, only losing by one is probably a good result for Arsenal and shows the improvement from the spankings they got given by the Manchester teams at the start of the season.

It was defo a lot more even than i expected, arteta had a fucking epic game! Vermaelen was the other better player on the pitch for us, our goal keepee has to be approaching world class by now?!

  • our goal keepee has to be approaching world class by now?!

    Not sure if serious...
Bit too early to make statement like that unless you're a red top journo. He's played what, 40 competitive games? Give him a couple of seasons as first choice GK and get back to me.
Van Persie has scored close to 60% of the goals in the league and that is something that must be addressed, Salomon Kalou is not the answer to that question for various reasons.

  • Bloody hell - we were shit yesterday.

It's really sad to have watched the team getting worse and worse over the last 3-4 seasons from being poised to break into the CL places to selling our key players every year. We're way off the pace now and with a difficult Christmas period to come I can feel another drift towards the danger zone happening.

Thankfully there are at least 3 truly abject teams in the prem so we should be OK. (Wish i hadn't typed that <<<)

  • This is known as "the McLeish Effect".

  • Yes. Where just being a miserable, ugly, Scottish twat is no longer a prerequisite for success.

  • That explains why Kenny is shit then.

  • And to think that the big 'eck was in the running for the West Ham job.

  • Not a chance. The fans would need subtitles.

  • Fess up. Who has hijacked mikec his account.

Whole bunch of us flounce and suddenly mikec becomes articulate and funny.
