Bit much?
Anyway.
Nuknow, sometime ago we did: IF Gazza signed for United in about 88/89. England went on to win the world cup etc etc.
It was a thought exercise. If Gazza signed for United, Taggart wouldn't have tolerated his excesses, would have protected him, etc and so on.Have you got something similar about Portugal?

Stringer and Pip. They go to every game but sit in the corridor eating pies and drinking house wine. True story.

You mean like if their decent players and managers had not all gone to Spain or England, they might have some decent club sides?

Fame, booze and cocaine - Mario Jardel (Brazil).
Played for Porto for 4, 5 ys... then left for 1 season to come back to SCP - made us champions of league and Cup in 2002. Something ridiculous like 42 goals....
... Only to drown himself in cocaine the period after the season. Was never the same.
Every now and then he comes to Portugal, his ex-wife is based here, and goes on tv, cries, blah, blah, blah.....
Truth is, he could have made it to the brazilian national team if it wasn't for his life style. Could have been a legend. -

He was ACE. Banging goals in all over the shop.

this is ridiculous... for the past 3 days I've only been logged in for the football thread. FML.

Aren't goals normally scored in one of two specific places on a football pitch rather than "all over the shop".
Day Moe, taking liberties with FACTS since 2008.
