how many made the trip to watch the mighty O's play up in blackburn last night
you must have got home pretty late from that one

Well done Arsenal, massive result last night at home against Shrewsbury. Does this mean that your season is now back on track?
Does anyone else on here actually go to Carling Cup games? Seems very quiet considering the matches last night and tonight.
Sadly, Chelsea have abandoned their practice of all previous seasons and are using tonight's game to give youth experience. I am not confident about the result but it appears that the club has decided not to go for the Carling Cup. A pity. I have always felt that clubs should try and win all competitions.

Why would Orient supporters get home any later than supporters of other London clubs.
I've been to Blackburn for a mid week Carling Cup game. Torrential rain. Miserable drive home. We won.

There's a sick joke to be made out of that Blackburn away comment, I'll refrain from it though.
Nice write up btw Mr O. I was at a Europe League match at Craven Cottage last Thursday, it's a nice ground to visit under any circumstance, even more so because it has the Wimbledon factor, it always feels like a home game.

Alas, most of our reserves are injured so we might have to play the first team..
You going tonight Clive?
I'm meeting some a couple of Kiwi and Safa mates straight after work. We'll probably pop down on the Jubilee. We won't be getting too wrecked though, Rugger's on early again tomorrow.. -

Mark, I will be there tonight. I am taking MrsO and therefore breaching the "No Doris" rule.
Has the rugby season started already? Not that I care...

The Prem started this month too, ripper! So me and the lads will probably only be turning up at the Cottage when Harlequins are playing away...

i'd play too but i have a cold and would be useless. good luck though and tell us more about the league etc...very interested etc
less said the better... with that and the Arsenal i might just have to get back into cricket this year.... i am still an emotional mess after that dry humping.. best 5 a side team i have played against, they tore into anyone on their side who took more than two touches, their movement and use of space was insane. to make it worse they were all built like shelters, all could finish with both feet, and even before we started the game they were in the referees face over the lights, ball, our 5th player not turning up yet.... our three men, blind dog and random kid we met standing outside the bar gave a good account for ourselves. but i can't remember the last time i walked off a pitch feeling that angry and fed up.
damn good schooling. -

I went, partly because it was only £10, partly because I wanted to see Oxlade-Chamberlain. My god, what a bunch of whingers the Gooners are.
Their goal was pretty hilarious (although I think I was the only one in the West Stand that found it remotely amusing) and it made it much more of a spectacle than it might otherwise have been. Coquelin looked decent, the Ox looked fantastic in 2nd half (spent most of 1st half in right back position as Jenkinson was over-lapping a lot), but it was only a League 2 side.
It seemed as though Wenger had them 442 with Ju-Young up front with Chamakh, then back to 433 when Ju-Young went off, but most of the 2nd half it appeared to be 2-1-7. The boy, Chuks Aneke, if fucking huge! Built more like a rugby player!
Don't know about turning the corner, Fabianski was... worth the entrance fee alone, as long as you aren't an Arsenal fan...

I took my dad to the game, he's Shrewsbury born and bred, fiver in for an OAP, and he loved the first 20 mins.
Djourou still looked out of his depth and how was Flappyhandski ever first choice? He didn't even flap last night, he barely moved at all. As the game went on we started to boss it like we should with some nice stuff from Oxy and Benayoun.
Can't really draw any conclusions from a game like that other than banana skin avoided and this morning we're still in the competition.

Don't know what to say about the tottenham game, less said, the better it would seem.
