ngog + cash for boltons cahill
rumour circulating
lets hope that goal he scored on the weekend doesn't boost his price too much
The big question is: how much cash? Too much for Arsene Wenger, so clearly priced in the 8-figure bracket; and will Ngog be prepared to pop down the road to Notlob? -

The Cahill/Liverpool deal doesn't sound good enough for Bolton IMO, they would'nt want N'gog normally, and would probably just prefer his value in cash (apparently he's valued at 4-6million...ahem!).

I've just watched Jari Litmanen come on as a sub in the HJK Helsinki vs Schalke 04 game, which HJK are winning 2-0.
I thought he'd retired years ago? He must be older than Clive.

Ah Jari. Has he regrown the mullet?
-
• #38956
Sadly not. The fans still love him though (he got a standing ovation when he came on).

Fancy doing laps of Swains Lane?
That would be a nice idea. What time?

Andy, why are you posing as a Baggie on the CSG site?

I believe my post made no reference to Chelsea whatsoever and was a genuine answer to Mr Clintsmoker's question.

Looking sharp already two nil up against hearts. Defoe and VdV, cool finishes both. Excited about seeing walker and Lennon on the right. Walker looks an adventurous full back, pacy and looking to overlap at every opportunity. Kaboul and Dawson would be my first choice defensive pairing, Kaboom is a classy ball playing centre half who can put the boot in when necessary.
And we look sharp for our first proper game of the season... Passing well, though the game seems to be passing krancjar by.

Sloppy sloppy spurs, Hearts have pressed the intensity button and we need to match them, settling for a three goal lead isn't enough. Want this qualifier dead and buried for the return leg. Good to see huddlestone back and looking up for it.
Walker looks like he'll be our first choice right back made an impressive showing and looks like a massive upgrade from who we've run out there last season.
Starting to get a toehold in the game. Just scored another. Great pass by tom terrific and sharp run and finish by bale. One more goal and I'll be happy..

I'm coming down for the Hearts game, (hearts end), and needing somewhere cheap to stay as it will basically just be somewhere to kip after a fairly boozy night. Where would those with local knowledge recommend?
Getting the train down to euston, leave from king's cross, and hearts fans are planning on congregating around the Liverpool St area for ease of getting to WHL. (secretly gutted that we wont be taking over trafalgar square and kicking beach balls around the fountains in that great Scottish tradition...)
probably having a bit of a rethink on this one right now

Good player Jari, one of them slow players 1st ten yards in his head yada yada, under rated.

i rated him. couldn't understand why liverpool didn't play him often.

Falcao has gone to Atletico, and it would seem Forlan will go to Inter, and Eto'o to Anzhi...
I don't understand Chelsea at the moment, Anelka, Drogba and Torres and then they go and buy Lukaku (of course for the future) and have Sturridge, I don't see how they fit into VB's preffered system of play. It would explain the apparent interest in Mata. Whether Kalou or Sturridge can adapt the style of play to be a false winger then we shall see.
We're not interested in Mata, so who does Wenger have in mind to replace our 2 best midfielders?! I don't think Hazard will leave Lille (their president said only 1 of him and Gervinho would leave), Martin from Sochaux? he could replace Nasri, and is exciting, but will he be able to deliver straight away?! In my opinion we are still 4-5 players short, and it worries me that 1-2 is all thats being mooted. We have no cover at left or right back. We lack creativity and leadership in midfield, and if RVP is injured, there are zero goals in our attack, and our 2 goal getting midfielders will have left.
If it were up to me (HA) I would sign, Rossi, Cahill/Verthongen, Hazard and Fernando/Jadson/Arteta, what I'd give to have Lass Diarra back as well!
-

Rossi would be a good signing, but Wenger would never pay his reported asking price. Diarra would be a good signing too, although it would also be a major fail on Wengers part, having sold him for only £5m. Jadson looks an interesting player and wouldn't mind a cold wet Tuesday in Stoke, having been in Ukraine for a couple of years, but really can't see Verthongen cutting it, in fact you could sign any centre back and they'll still never get a proper chance to show what they can do if you don't coach them!

I thought it was a wet 'Wednesday' in Stoke? If you're gonna use a key phrase atleast get it right FFS! Damo'll be livid when he reads that!

none of this makes sense Corny. 3-0 up, panicking by you and then 4-0 up described as a 'toe-hold' . Have some belief in your team man
