  • I see the biggest loser race is heating up nicely West Brom have resigned Gera and more importantly got Foster on loan.

    That can only help

  • If anyone's really bored; Werder Bremen v Everton

    Bremen 1-0 up @ HT

Saha injured yet? Pretty much your first team out isn't it?

  • Came off after 75mins, fine though

  • I might lock this thread 'til April next year

Do it. Go on. Remember what happened last time? This place needs a shake up.
PMs flying around, forum up in arms.

  • Looks like Joey Deacon might be off to the North London graveyard of once good players.
    Should be a laugh

  • Decent guide to the Football League, for all you non-plastics

Good link. I only read the Derby (and Forest) one yesterday. (It's like an itch I can't help scratching).

  • Barton's agent moonlights as a comedian:
"If he was playing for Arsenal last season, they'd probably have won the title."

  • If Barton had played for Arsenal last season, RvP would probably have needed facial reconstruction surgery. Shame.

  • If Barton had played for Arsenal last season, then they probably wouldn't have lost a 4 nil lead to Newcastle.

  • If Barton had played for Arsenal last season, Bendtner et al would have received some sort of public dressing down a la Plump Francis.

  • guardian's european football transfer round up, see where all those players/prospects you hoped would come to your club went, and where some of your clubs discards have wound up..

  • Nice piece on Barton in the Independent today. There's a bit of Mike Tyson in him...

I wonder how many goals he's scored for Liverpool...

    Joey Barton quoting Friedrich Nietzsche

Although I'm sure he would align himself with Nietzsche's 'campaign against morality'. In fact, I've heard that Barton is considering quitting football to start a Philosophy degree at White Hart Lane University.

Surely on par with the time Chris Hughton used to write a column for the Workers Revolutionary Party paper

not quite of the 120pw 60 was his signing on fee... this wouldn't have carried on into next year

anyway, I hope he does better for Anderlecht

    Don't forget Poulsen...

Reports are saying we've agreed a fee with the toon for Enrique circa 5-6mil

  • I wonder how many goals he's scored for Liverpool...

similar to how many Torres has scored for Chelsea and a lot less than Marseilles scored against Man U last night

  • Because pre match friendlies are always the way to judge a team. We smashed our preseason last year. This year. Not so good.
The result, in our case, will be the same. Mid table battle. Flirtation with relegation. A couple of excellent displays. Hopefully our keeper won't be so fucking shit or so mental.
