West Ham, Millwall, Cardiff, Swansea, Leeds and Brighton.
Now that will be funny.

Brighton?!!
Sutton Utd have got a bigger firm

Pisti, I gather you have never been down there for a game? The last time Chelsea played Brighton in a league game there was a massive pebble battle on the beach before the game and a huge riot after the game. Brighton may not have a large firm but the town attracts every hoolie imaginable from visiting sides.

If you can't get three points at home against Fulham, you don't deserve to be in the Prem, Europa League or not.

Excellent.
Having had a few hours to reflect on performances of the the past 37 games I'd like to be the first to say that we didn't deserve to stay up. Sure we beat teams that have historically beens better than us, and we've lost to teams that have in turn been historically worse than us. The players managed to perform so consistently badly that they certainly weren't performing to the best of their £50-£100k pricetags. The fans certainly weren't getting any value for money and the overall performances were an utter disgrace.
This will give the porn barons and La Brady (as well as the next hapless individual who happens to sign on the line for the job which in my opinion is a poisoned chalice) the opportunity to clear some of the dead wood that has dogged the team since long before they arrived.
I'm looking forward to next season already. Not really so much the potential tear-ups, but for a new start under the tenure of Davids2.
A few hundred pages ago, Mr O posted a comment "never boo a blue". He has a point and a very valid one too, but if the players look like they can't be arsed which fundamentally results in loss of top flight football then so be it.
WHU didn't play top flight football this season and as a result of this we won't be playing it next season.

I have to disagee. Having seen most of the bottom sides, West Ham did not look nearly as poor as quite a few of the others. They had enough quality to stay up. Their problem was their manager whose tactical inadequacy did for Chelsea if not for Portsmouth. The Fink Tank in The Times had a piece recently which showed that West Ham were the most abberational side when comparing form to performance.. This was down to Grant and no one else.

I thought West Ham looked excellent when they thrashed us. Yes I know it was only Liverpool but they looked a really good, solid team. I think you have to blame the manager for getting you relegated

I've defended Avram in the past... cannot do the same this time. I guess he just failed to get some decent players motivated and playing.
Vultures circling Parker..

Steve McLaren to West Ham apparently....
looking forward to seeing his mockney accent. -

Glad I decided to head up to see the final game of the season to watch the team roll over and get humped... Not great viewing, the ref was utter gash but spurs did deserve to win.

got to say if mclaren went to west ham, it wouldn't be a bad appointment, think he's a good possily great manager and his time abroad will have made him even more so. Would love to see more english managers try their luck abroad, might give them some insight into the stresses of relocation and fitting in that footballers have to go through. Also a chance to see if they as managers have the skills to get a team functioning and doing well in another country..
mclaren's won the league in holland done not so well in germany, as wolsfburg it turned out were an even worse team after he left, so the blame can be spread around for that one.Personally think west ham need to go with hughton, whose a fan of the club (whatever that means nowadays) and knows how to work under the tightened belt policy that will be in effect at west ham. Not sure the hammers will bounce straight back if they have to sell all their best players (I'm assuming they don't have contracts which reduce wages if they go down, so will need to be got rid so the wage bill is crippling to a club already in debt)

This will do us the world of good. Maybe not financially, but in the sense that it will enable heads to be cleared and develop an approach with slightly more focus. We'll have to rely more heavily upon the younger players and the fabled "Academy", but it needed to happen to rid us of some of the less than reliable personnel.
As I've said before, there have been flashes of brilliance, but only flashes. the apparent inability to string together decent runs of form will plague another Prem team next season (based on the performances this season potentially one of the big four) and others will be nursing their wounds in 12 months time.
Just can't handle the prospect of Colin in the post-match interviews.

at least West Ham can't get sued by Leyton Orient now.
It's only Premier League rules that stop teams reducing prices and moving into lower league catchments, therefore reducing revenues for lower league teams. Maybe this is all part of the plan.
Karen Brady's vision of a post world cup opening are all but dwindling now though.

England have been given an extra Europa League place for fairplay.
So if Tottenham lose to Birmingham and Liverpool beat Villa (therefore finishing 5th) they (Tottengam) will probably qualify for it.
http://www.premierleague.com/page/FairPlayTable
^ That is the most up-to-date table available apparently.Fulham are probably out of the running (unless Tottenham qualify through the league) after picking up 10 bookings in 2 games + the Chris Baird FA charge.
I appreciate the need for fairplay to be recognised but this is a farce.

There will, however, be a fire sale of West Ham players and their ability to climb back up will be significantly prejudiced.
Cheerio Parker and Cole.
Keiron Dyer might get a game.

Yep Spurs are nailed on for Europa League. The only difference is that Spurs could face early qualifying rounds if they don't get 5th. 'Arry used this as a tool to motivate players yesterday apparently.
With Birmigham in free fall and more injuries that Everton I'd imagine Fulham will be taking up the Fair Play award

I bet 'arry is really looking forward to waving the cheque book around this summer.
"We were in the champions league, now we're in Europa. That's more games in Europe, come to us. We'll raise your profile. What do you mean, wasn't I supposed to maintain 4th?" -
• #34048
I'm absolutely dreading what damage 'Arry might do this summer. I'd rather he was sacked in the tunnel come Sunday than be allowed to run riot buying Scott Parker, Ben Foster and Muntari. Keeping Crouch and Defoe, and getting rid of anyone with any real potential.
Kudos to Danny Rose for doing a passable job at left back the past few games. He lacks the guile to push wingers out wide, and stand up to them, but good at covering his lines and getting forward. His crossing is about as good as Lennon's. A summer of specialised training, and he'll be alright.

Does the " ' arry ahp 'arry an' fack off aht a 'ere" campaing start here?
I didn't/couldn't get my snipers equipment sorted in time.
Serious answer: No. I've been "nesting" for the last month of weekends.
I know the prices are high and that's the way things are. And me not paying to go, will probably enforce higher prices etc and so on. I can't, honestly, justify 30 quid on a ticket and then the expenditure around the match (food, drink).
I have only just started paying back my student loan from 1996. Last year was the first time I was unable to defer my payments for another year. It's a little annoying.
