The thing that winds me up about the journos when they report on Liverpool, they always refer to them as 'Kop'. Take todays Sun for example

It doesn't make sense, it sounds wank! What it translates as is:

'STAND BEHIND GOAL AT ANFIELD FACING FINANCIAL RUIN'

Sounds silly doesn't it?

They wouldn't call Chelsea SHED, or Utd STRETFORD, or Everton GWLADYS ST so why the fuck do they insist on referring to them as KOP??! :-$

The Sun. Ha! Serious question though so no abusive answers please. After the suns disgraceful reporting of Hillsborough tragedy and the boycotting of the paper. Was this boycott by Liverpool fans in particular or merseysiders in general as a show of solidarity. I assume the sun paper is still very unpopular in Liverpool as a city as a whole?

It's generally Merseyside as a whole, well Liverpool atleast. I never see The Sun in any newsagents, they refuse to stock it. The only redtops are The Mirror and Star, they must make a packet in Liverpool
