Cheers Andy!
Decided not to go out tonight in the end. Glad I didn't bother. Work tomorrow and all. Ah well. Looks like at least another double for United this season. I sometimes forget why I like football

Oh gawd what a poor show - how many more years Arsene? Come on you Gunners.

bring on barca, thatll be an amazing final with some good attacking football
feel desperately sorry for fletcher, im sure he would have started in the finalon the other hand, what is arsene doing, hes ruining all his good work by selling his more experienced players, and over the last four years hes being doing this, you can tell the difference, whos it going to be this year, fabregas, van persie, clichey ..........

I know arsenal got sucker punched with those two early goals, but I've never seen fabregas have such an ineffectual night. Did he come back to soon from injury? I was always under the impression that cruciate ligament injuries were probably six months to a year to get back to playing, and then like another six months to a year to get back to playing like you used to. Willing to be corrected on this.
adebayor had no service, walcott produced nothing, van persie just seemed to get frustrated and the only one who had a bit of spark about him was nasri.
It felt like men against boys, I pretty much turned off after the first twenty mins, arsenal never looked like scoring, and couldn't produce any momentum in their attacks. If Barca get past Chelsea, it'll be a pretty final (hopefully), but barca will hold the ball better and put man u under a lot more pressure than arsenal did. But then United's last goal, from clearing header to ball in back of the net, via, four passes, was a stunning counter attack.
If chelsea get through I've got a strong suspicion it'll go to penalties.
I'll be down the effra tomorrow cheering on barca, looking forward to it...
ps, I was gonna text greasy after the first two goals went in, but didn't have the heart for it.
Football's a cruel game.. -

Ha cheers man, i'll be with you in the effra with my barca shirt on tmrw, jos tears will cheer me up no end
Another piss poor performance, never looking like a team! Utd were strong and fluid. beat by a better team, if they go at Barca like that it will be a great final
Feel for Fletcher, hate the twat but he derserved to be there, Ronaldo deserves to be set on fire and put out with a pick axe and then tackled courtesy of a 10 foot sliding special delivered by yours truely...Until Wenger realises we don't have a player that can head the ball, one that can shoot from outisde the box, one to hold the back line and one stick a tackle in around the midfield, he wont fill that tophy room.
Some great ball players but needs that snap back in the tackle! cunts! -

as a fellow gooner, i am not surprised at tonight's result. but then again nothing gets me down, except perhaps chelsea getting to the final, winning the final and living with thought that i will not hear the end of it for some time..
i hope drogba gets seriously fouled in the penalty area tomorrow night, booked or even sent off for diving and Barca, score an away goal.. there i've said.. not bitter or anything.. really
man utd played efficiently and with great skill, we need experienced players as well as talent..
hopefully sell Adebayor (lazy fuck-shit), Gallas (prefer toure), Eboue (have we ever forgiven him) fuck there are others on my list.. has Senderos gone yet.. -

Stepanovs at OT when Arse got spanked was ace!

I really think that Arsenal will fall apart once and for all next season. Wegner will sell Fabregas and all your other half-decent players. Won't get anyone worthwhile in and you will finish outside the top 4 where you will remain for about 8 years. Unless you radically change your transfer policy in the summer

This old chestnut already. Yawn. I've heard this every year since 2000. It's almost as boring as the "it'll be Liverpool's year this year" which I've been hearing since 1991.
There will be change at Arsenal this summer with a new owner and a new regime. Wenger may be around next season but if he does his transfer policy will change, and an experienced spine will be in place for next season.

Arsenal'll be fine once they get Rosicky and Eduardo back(properly), get rid of Bendtner and Adebayor. The defence is shite though, get rid of Eboue, Gallas only has one more season and they need a decent CB pairing like the old days. Arsenal have alway had a solid CB pairing...

yep, its far to easy to stop us playing, sit the back 4 deep and the midfield tight to them and there is no space to get in behind.. we will pass it flat for a few minutes then lob a shit cross in, if at some point in the game we put a decent cross in ade jumps to early (if he can be bothered to give it a go) or we have no-one in the box.
2 nill down and Utd had 4 defenders in the box to our one attacker!? we got to two semi finals and are 4th but Utd and Chelsea have moved too far ahead of us, Wenger really has this summer to sort it out. if he had spent the money on Anderson or Torres we'd be a different class.
plus side is Nasri and Arshavin are world class and we have a lot of gifted players but no heart (at the moment) fulham had just fight and heart and they did Utd...

I don't think arsenal are that far away really, all that youth thats been blooded in the league and cups, when you get back eduardo, rosicky, gallas, and sign a proper up and at 'em midfielder (joey barton???? only kidding, or was I?) and a defender to cover when injuries pop up, arsenal will be there or thereabouts.
Age is on their side, youth provides a resilliency and a desire that when melded to experience, either as they grow, or added via transfers that will make arsenal a hard side to beat. -
• #2642
Right...
Ce soir,
Chelsea 3 v Barcelona 2 (AET)
Barca with no first team CB's, Puyol and Marquez out....can see a lot of goals in this

• #2643
what time at the effra?
-
• #2644
Again. I am fed up with all this fucking
"Manchester United the first club to successfully defend the Champions League" bollox.
What the fuck happened in the year 1978 then? Just like football began in 1992 with Sky Sports or whatever. CUNTS. Glad this is it for me now as I hate being this pissed off! -
• #2645
wenger will pull it round.it's just not worked this year, next year will be better.
at least arsenal try and play attractive football.liverpool are grafters but chelsea just stop the game from flowing, i don't like there style or any of there players at all. -

What the fuck happened in the year 1978 then?dude operative words are champions league, its a different competition, so they can say it with impunity, seeing as the champions league has been going for what eighteen years.
Personally I'm all for a return to the old fashioned knock out, puts the fear into you every match, and means teams have to play every match as if it were their last. But Mike if it was Liverpool after they won it in 2005? you'd be all over it like a rash. Take off the blinkers man, its just a statistic...

must agree with comments above
ronaldo
what an absolute prick
he's just looks such an arrogant shit with his shiny forehead and body of an giraffe
his facial gestures his "cheeky thumbs up "i'm with mike, in that i hope he pisses if to real quick smart, jerk £100mn ribery in for £60mn
plus with the 25-30 goals extra he scores each season that will surely piss on man utd's bonfire
surely the frenchie ribery will be no where as good can he ?
-
• #2648
and may i just add
MANC SCUM
aaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh
-
• #2649
Why are the plastic kopites getting all regionalist, 'MANC SCUM'? You have no relation to the area(NW of England) so why are you letting it effect you?
Kaka's off to Utd to replace Ronaldo, not Ribery
-
• #2650
Kaka! fuck me!
[goes off to start cricket thread...]
no appeal for fletcher.oooch !
i hope barca get through but i think chelsea will play to stop barca playing first then just bang it up to drogba.i hate the way chelsea play but it works for them.it not quality football though.
to quote the pundits, if barca go through football wins ;)
