sigh.....
at least i can dream that someone will fire Grant tomorrow.

An utterly abject performance from the not-so-mighty Hammers today. Mind you , there were 9 first teamers out, but judging by the truly shocking level of football played today, we really do deserve to be where we are.
As Henry says, one can only dream of Grants' demise. Isn't Ray Wilkins about to sign on?

Bale and Rafa on fire again.... i am so happy today. Sorry Arsenal fans, I'm sure you can understand how big this is? We finally topple you at the Emirates.....
Watch us go an get ass-rammed in the next game. Typical Lilywhites.....
Well you are up against Liverpool !
What a season already
I am surprised Paddy Power hadn't already paid out on Chelsea winning the Premiershit now there's talk of the manager being sacked
Tottenham being praised to the high heavens for their performances this season.. Liverpool being slated and in the bottom three. Tottenham are 3 points above us
the gap between us and the top is being lessened every week
Harry talking of the title this morning
No wonder we all get so passionate about the sport.Oh yeah and we're still above Everton

come the fuck on!
Victory dragged from the jaws of ignominious defeat.
The arse out played us in the first half, without Huddlestone we looked a shadow of ourselves, no one to get on the ball, modric looked out of sorts and jenas felt like a passenger.
Gallas did some yeoman's work in keeping the score down.
Gomes at fault for the first goal, but then saved superbly in the second half.who'da thunk it that little jermain would outjump koscienly for the first goal. Bale for player of the year? OR is that too early. Definite penalty, despite fabregas trying to make out he was protecting his face, or nasri's.. And then Kaboul popping up for the third.
and for all of the arsenal fans who want to shrug off the victory, and say it wasn't important, well it was kinda important to this man...
Fucking Love It!
Hoping the return of Defoe, makes a real difference and with the race at the top being so tight, push us into the top two or three...
Pub suddenly went quiet when the third went in. Had predicted a 2-2 at half time, but am absolutely delighted a the result. Roll on wednesday

As a red I'm not overly excited. They (WHU) have serious problems. Has Grant been in the bottom three for over a year now?

That Wenger hissy-fit is epic.
Massive game today. Can football's most lovable team overturn football's richest?
Doubt it but COYW. -

1st arsenal goal not gomes fault at all. defence need to look at themselves. always something wrong when a ball from deep splits everyone and then i wondered what the defender was doing watching nasri's hopeful (at best) attempt (cross/shot) creep over the line. Nasri is really impressive at the moment though.
spurs second...bollocking for any player who raises his arm in a wall let alone fabrigas who is holding his mates arm aloft. keep your hands on your (own) testicles for FS!!Bale is brilliant at the moment and he just has to carry this through until jan and both young and players player are his.
Another good quality arsenal game ending in defeat. how much longer until they get with it and sack the manager?

If you extrapolate the statistics of the premier league so far into a full season then Arsenal and Chelsea are on to lose 10 or 11 games this year. Mental.
Obviously that means Utd will go the season unbeaten, drawing 19 times in the process

Any Arsenal fans who shrugs off a home defeat against Spurs can't be considered a fan, surely?
There's no excuse, if you're 2-0 up at home at half time then you should be professional enough to hold onto the win.

andy met plenty of so called fans in the pub who seemed unwilling to quantify the scale of the defeat, ruling it out as a one off, won't finish above us in the league etc, etc.
I know we keep dropping points to teams we think we should beat and giving teams headstarts in too many games, but the league is close this year and everyone is dropping points to everyone else, so we should be there or thereabouts.
Also after this victory and Chelsea's loss it gives me a bit more confidence that this won't be a horrific slate of matches, and that we can still be challenging come christmas..

2-1 up should have be turned into a simple home win. Regardless of the opponents, if as all the prematch hype in every middle class football fan's paper was to be believed.
Fortunately it was, we hung on to win 3-2 even though we gave away a penalty.

First home defeat against Spurs since 1993 (and that was just before the Cup Final and we put a second string team out). Poor.

I still think one of three teams will win it; Chelsea, United or Arsenal but I reckon the points total to win will be one of the lowest in history. All three teams have obvious weaknesses so will drop more points than normal.
Spurs should be good for fourth if that can strenghten in January.
