What I especially like in all this is that we have made a +13 on Uniteds goal difference in 2 games!
Liverpool were lucky again. These teams are just making us look good.
Vague hopes of us winning again are starting to resurface, thats enough for me. Makes a change to still be in the race come the end of March. We are usually out of it by November -

Liverpool looked Solid but every attack Villa crumbled, in fairness Mascha tore villas heart out in the middle. i forgot Reo-coker was playing till he got subbed.
Liverpool should finish the 82-82 points, the only tough game is against Arsenal - by then we will be in full flow, Utd have got Villa angry with a point to prove, Arsenal and City (local derby always picks things up) a trickier run in.
So this is a golden chance for Liverpool!!

(or we will have hit bad form again by then and get hammered, the joys of being a spurs fan).

Moyes = Twat.
Again, I reiterate, what the hell have LFC got to do with him? Keep your ugly mug out of things I say. Off to the pub now, hoping for a victory
You've totally missed the point haven't you dick'ead. The clues are in the statements...

^^ I don't get it?
My brother summed up Benitez perfectly today. After our 4th or 5th goal ( I can't remember as there was so many ), Benetiz got up, his usual manic self, started muttering and then started scribbling in his notebook. He said, he reminds me of George ( my cat ). I pissed myself laughing. It is true. Benitez is definitley slightly deranged.
But, and this is crucial, he has got right under fuckfaces nose

Moyes' quotes were in a lighthearted manner off the cuff, in jest, tongue in cheek. Benitez talks out of his arse and writes down lists of 'facts' that have been pre-meditated. The fella's got no class and his 'small club' jibe was ignorant and rammed deep up his stinkpipe by a 19yo from Plymouth

BENITEZ SIGNS ON FOR FIVE MORE YEARS OF BUCK-PASSING
RAFAEL Benitez has signed a new contract which will see him blame other people for Liverpool’s failures until 2014.
** **
Benitez has often blamed the tomatoThe coach, linked recently to Real Madrid, said his love for the city, for the fans and for apportioning his shortcomings to a varied cast of largely irrelevant bystanders was 'impossible to resist'.
After months of wrangling, Liverpool chiefs agreed to new clauses which will allow Benitez to berate one board member a month for the team's failure to beat a recently-promoted Championship side.
He will also be allowed to blame Sir Alex Ferguson's eyebrows, the influence of Mercury in Virgo and all refereeing decisions, including those that have nothing whatsoever to do with Liverpool.
One sticking point was the manager's control over transfer budgets, with previous signings including a blind, 80-year old Spanish midget, a large Spanish tomato with a picture of a footballer drawn on it and Jermaine Pennant.
It has also emerged that Benitez insisted the negotiations were conducted in front of a large screen showing the recent goals against Manchester United and Real Madrid, as he gestured periodically while muttering 'muchos dineros' to himself.
Owner Tom Hicks said: "I was never worried that Rafa would quit Anfield. We are, after all, paying him four million pounds a year to produce the kind of football that would cause an amphetamine-fuelled Jonathan Pearce to slip into a coma."
Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson also welcomed the new contract adding that he was relishing another five years of attempting to gradually nudge his rival into complete insanity.

come on the spurs!!!
Get in! Taking points off Chelsea, didn't think that was gonna happen, I wonder what happens if we play better and push on for a european place, which is only a couple of points away, and does 'Arry start playing the young un's or does he go hell for leather to get a place in europe, even though he devalued our participation in the uefa this season by sending out a reserve team to moscow...Arshavin looks like he's revitalised arsenal, making them much more incisive, less of the fannying around knocking balls around and being pretty, seems like all he wants to do is run at defenders or thread through the killer ball. Don't see Villa catching them for that champions league spot now...
and Villa looked woeful on the highlights on sunday, no threat, no energy, liverpool just walked all over them... I'm hoping O'Neill will go hell for leather for all competitions next season, no matter the size of the squad, and I've got a feeling, that failure to break into the champions league this season will be used as a reason to batten down the hatches and go on a revenge mission next season.
Oh and MikeC, not going to ask you to eat your words, but besmirching a managers reputation off the back of a paraphrased quote, and then allowing that fulham played well, whilst still keeping the right to say managers shouldn't downplay their teams chances, is a bit two faced don't you think. Man U had an off day, as Hodgson said they would have to for Fulham to have a chance, Fulham, played upto the occassion and took advantage, thereby doing what liverpool needed, and you wanted, giving them an opportunity to put some pressure on united.
No backhanded compliments mike, a full and unreserved apology is the least you owe mr hodgson on this here thread, and all the other managers who you believe prostrate themselves in front of ManU...

;-PSpurs were awsome (granted Chelsea didn't turn up for half the game) and Modric was fantasic. Really starting to look like the player he was biller to be. I really hope that his dosent get snapped up by a 'big 4' side in the summer. We need to start holding on to players.
Mike, It is a well known fact that all premiership managers read this thread to get tips and see what the public opinion is. ;)

LOL.
Right ok. Sorry Mr Hodgson, you are a man of integrity and I was wrong to doubt your commitment.
Is that better? It was nice to see the ref getting tough on United though. I was speaking to some Manc friends and even they are starting to get fed up with Wonder boys antics now. The sooner he fucks off to Real Madrid the better.
No more bitterness from me on this thread from now on. Just a positive belief that maybe, just maybe we can clinch this title. Although O'Niell is definitely a Ferguson yes man so I don't expect too much from then in a fortnights time! ;)

Gary Lineker rekons Spurs for the title now. Haha. I like the way he still has a soft spot for them. With Liverpool in the form they are in I think they could do this now.

Well - I'm not sure he'll be up for the Intertoto next year.
But, yeah - I hope he's learnt from that one. Though to be generous - he may have seen in training that everyone was fucked and would have lost anyway.
Still - plenty of games to go and a nice easy run in. Man U away then into mid-table obscurity teams: Everton, Hammers, Bolton, Hull, Fulham, Boro & Newcastle.

Went to watch a preview of "The Damned United" last night. I know this film has had way too much publicity on the lead up to the general release but I can conferm it is all worth it.
Totaly brilliant film. It gets the furious 5 Star rating *****

I'm looking forward to seeing it so thanks for the review Tim. I read the book and can recommend it.

He is, but any manager who turfs up at bar to have a few beers with the fans at a Euro away gets my vote.
Oh and that jug-earthed mouthbreathing cunt Rooney deserves to get sent off every fucking game.
-
• #1796
Utd have a tough run without two key players but they have the squad to pull through and you'll find Rooney will put out a man of teh match performance in europe and win the tie for them
looking again at the table and fixtures you got to say Newcastle are fucked. i fancy Stoke to stay up ahead of them...

Aye - last day of the season we can look forward to a number of pictures of fat bald men wearing B&W striped shits blubbing.

they probably won't be wearing shirts.

if it stays close at the top, spurs play liverpool on the last day of the season.
just thought i'd mention it...

robbie keane to miss or to score? the club he loves or the club that loves him?
Villa rolled over!
I didn't think Liverpool played that well but Villas defence missed the whole game, they couldn't match the tempo Livepool set which is odd cause thats been their main weapon all season.
at least Arsenals top 4 spot is safe and we have the chance to cause a few more upsets before the seasons out. I still can't see Liverpool winning it but they will turn Chelsea over in Europe
