"We haven't seen a save yet in this Cup Tie" right after the keeper saved the initial shot...

A Fisher game a few months ago was part of the SCEFL groundhop and I got talking to one of the organisers who was based in Nottingham I think. He’s been doing it for years and is well on his way to ticking off all non-league grounds which is his personal goal. Think he didn’t really support anything local to him and was all about just visiting everywhere.

I spent last night thinking whether I should just do the remaining 12 or so grounds this season to tick off the full 92. They are all League 1 & 2 so should be easy enough to get tickets...

What's on the list?

A friend did the 92 about 10 years ago and is just annoyed at feeling compelled to go to more random away games when clubs move grounds (e.g. Spurs, Brentford, etc).
Daniel Storey (Chief Football Writer from the
i
newspaper) is trying to do the 92 in just this season: https://inews.co.uk/topic/doing-the-92 (subscription required or work out how to google things)Intro article: https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/doing-the-92-i-need-your-help-3215959

On that list, I've only been to Bromley.

Oh yeah the new grounds scuppers me a bit - Hull, Spurs, Brentford, Cardiff (& soon Everton) are on my list of visiting where I've only been to the old ground. Have also done some classics that are no longer with us though e.g. Highbury, Maine Road, White Hart Lane, Goldstone Ground, Roker Park, Ayresome Park, Upton Park

I'm really gutted about Brentford moving. I had tickets to see us at Griffin Park on March 20th 2020.
Lockdown came and that was that.

Been there loads, drunk in all 4 corner pubs as well

Highbury was a great place to go to.
Impressive feat, only having ~14 to tick off!

Madness sacking Rosenior.
I generally keep away from football forums sounds odd, but being realistic, i don't know a great deal about football. I don't even know a lot about Hull City. Some can recall games, scores, players, even bits of the action, not me. There are some bits, of course, Windass goal at Wembley, being two nil up against Arsenal in the FA cup final, getting a promotion at Yeovil, Geovanni goal at the Emirates... The Housemartins, a band formed in Hull, their first album London 0 Hull 4 became prophetic at the start of the 08/09 Premier League season when in the first eight games we beat Fulham, Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham. For a few hours we were even top of the League and Phil Brown was going to be the next England manager. But the scores, nope, name more than three or four players, nope. But maybe that is the emotions that sticky it.
Rosenior was because draws. We had eleven draws, we finished seventh and we had great players, Philogene, Carvalho, Delap and Greaves. ( I had to remind myself on the amazing Tigerbase ) Would those players have stayed if he had, who knows?
L**ds, full of fans who think the glory years of the late sixties and early seventies are only a game away and god damned right for such a massive club. I won't let my vitriol spill over. But going to the pub on a match day can be harrowing. -

what do you reckon to Selles so far?
The players are playing for him and understanding what he wants, which certainly didn't happen under Walters.
Walters, felt a bit sorry for him. Moved his family local from Germany on the Friday, brought his family to the ground for the Sheffield Wednesday game on the saturday, was sacked by 18:00 -

I'd give the Leeds city centre pubs a miss on 8th Feb...

drunk in all 4 corner pubs as well
Done that, was a ritual for away fans wasn't it. I'd get in to London early and do the Steam Museum as well.

I'll be in Cardiff, but i see your point. The area around the station is always a sea of green police tabards, horses, dogs when they visit before they get marched to the ground.
-
• #172746
It took 6 months at Reading for the players to understand (and for Selles to ditch his insane 4-2-2-2 system) so that sounds positive
-
• #172747
I recall it didn't go down well here last time I said so* but the Leeds supporters, who go to Elland Road or to city centre pubs on match day, are largely obstreperous morons.
*but I stand by it

To give a little due, they do turn out well attendance wise full house most matchdays even for FA cup.

I particularly like the D&R defender appealing for the penalty for the shirt pull...
what do you reckon to Selles so far?
(I went to Boothferry Park back in the day but never been to the new ground)
