I watch grassroots football stuff on youtube. The abuse five a side refs get (and I used to dish it out so I'm a cunt too) is nuts. Where's it coming from?

Absolutely. My point is that the PGMOL is not without blame here. They're a closed shop of white dudes who seem to love being in the spotlight, have a history of coming out after the fact to laugh about their bad calls with their ex-player mates, and are on the record saying they're looking out for each other when it comes to VAR. These people are not going to be held in any reverential way.

Anyway, what channel is showing these medieval games of violence?

I didn't see a video with subtitles, and I genuinely don't hear him say "German Cunt"; just "cunt". The former is unacceptable and should lead to a slap on the wrist for using discriminatory language.

Thinking someone is a cunt and arrogant is not an offence, but he should again be ticked off for damaging the reputation of PGMOL and whoever.

Everyone is clear that having opinions/thinking someone is a cunt/saying to your mate in private that someone is a cunt is not an offence. That has never been relevant here.

I have just watched the video again. I can't hear him say "German cunt". He says "cunt" and then his mate bursts out laughing and the audio is unintelligible for a second or so and then he goes on to explain why he thinks he's a cunt.

And I think from that point forward, most people would agree with Coote. Klopp is a bit of a dick and Milner is alright.

You can fill the gaps and suspect "German-", "fucking-", "giga-" but I genuinely couldn't stand up under oath and say what that word is. Someone might have subtitled it as "German", but that doesn't mean that's what he's saying.

And I'm not even trying to defend him against being accused of discriminatory language - I despise it - I just cannot hear him say it.

It smacks of him getting coked up at a randoms after a night out and forgetting no-one is his mate. I doubt he is actually bias against anyone but he also has to be seen to be unbiased. Just to save us all from the ear ending din of Liverpool fans moaning, he has to go.

Biased or unbiased is something the FA/PGMOL can work out based on reviewing decisions made during the game.

I'd be amazed if they're not doing this already. Cricket has been doing it for the elite umpires for years (more about getting the right decisions than any questions about bias.)

Thankfully I have only ever been charming and fun in these sort of situations.
