Chelsea were his local club when he was a kid, you melt.

Point still stands. Football clubs change, people do.

My local club are the Dolphins, I don't even rugby league.

what will he do with all the john terry signed photos on his walls ?
-
• #171132
How many do you want?
-
• #171133
I've got a few boxes of signed Winston Bogarde pics to shift as well.

• #171134
Sell them back to John Terry?

And the full kit (boots & shinpads, obvs) that he watches matches in.

Ridsdale does have form

Seems Lowe quit rather than was sacked. Was persuaded not to go at the end of the season but assume he decided "fuck it" after being booed in the first match of the season.

Go in with what I found to be the best perspective*, low expectations.
As a Hammer this was kept me sane throughout the late 80s through til now.
However I’m starting to worryingly starting to be hopeful for the season ahead. Steidten And Lop seem to be doing a great job of adding strength where needed and getting rid of players we need gone.
Even if the AWB transfer seems to be dragging on forever -

I’ve forgotten I support Derby.

Oh, I never think we're going to win anything, even back in the glory days when we were winning everything.
I leave that kind of thing to people from North London. 🍆

Signed? That was a busy day by his standards. Wasn't he on something mental, like 40k a week, even back then?
-
• #171142
He did have a good game for Holland once
-
• #171143
I jest but yeah, another classic bit of Chelsea recruitment.
-
• #171144
Well that was a pleasant watch. Expected (and still expect) Luton away to be one of the toughest matches and we really dominated it.
Only 3 players starting over the age of 25 and no one over 28.

And a bonus Weghorst

That was unexpected.

Saw an interesting take on BBC Sport, this morning, that Ten Hag is copping out on identifying "proper" transfer targets and merely rebuilding his 2019 Ajax squad.
This follows the de Ligt and Mazraoui medicals.
It's a fair observation in so far as, yes he seems to be sticking with players he knows. I think "cop out" is unfair, I mean Mourinho at Chelsea simply brought over his Porto squad.

Two players is a squad now? 🤣 I can name Ricardo Carvalho and Paolo Ferreira, who am I missing?
-
• #171149
Ricardo Carvalho. Paulo Ferreira. Deco. Maniche. Bosingwa...
Am I misremembering?
Tbh, my point was more there's nothing wrong with it as a method.

• #171150
Nah, it was just those two during that first stint.
Or you could support a local club?
