  • Are you really that dim?

  • Or are you just arguing the toss?

  • I'm merely stating my opinion that it's a crap decision. Depends what your expectations are for a team like Forest I guess. If they now go down instead of one the current bottom three, it would've been a mistake, right?

  • And great point btw.

  • I think Cooper has done a decent job, but the team have been flirting with relegation since they got promoted, despite a lot of investment in players. So it’s no surprise the owner has decided now is the time for a change. I’m not sure Nuno is the right choice, but he’s shown he can manage a mid table Premiership team, which is what Forest aspire to be.

  • Chelsea’s penalties today were 🤌

  • One Chelsea fan fucking embarrassed himself. Rather than detaining him afterward, the steward helped him back into the stand! Stadium ban coming right up.

The Turkish side Istanbulspor walked off the pitch in an apparent protest at a refereeing decision in their Super Lig game against Trabzonspor on Tuesday.

The incident took place as the Turkish top flight resumed following a one-week suspension after a club president punched a referee at the end of a game.

Trabzonspor scored to go 2-1 up through Paul Onuachu but Istanbulspor, who sit bottom of the table, felt they should have been awarded a penalty following a clash between Florian Loshaj and Batista Mendy.

Istanbulspor’s chairman, Ecmel Faik Sarialioglu, then walked on to the pitch and instructed the team to walk off, with the game stopped in the 73rd minute. Turkey’s Anadolu news agency reported that a number of Istanbulspor players tried to convince the club president to play on, but the match was ultimately abandoned.

how long till they cancel turkish football ? or the ref's just quit

  • Unconvinced by Nuno, hardly an obvious improvement on Cooper.

  • He's also won promotion from the Championship, finished seventh twice in the Prem, qualified for Europe and took Wolves to the quarter-finals which earned him the Spurs job. How is that CV not an improvement on Cooper?

I love Cooper, but it's difficult to argue that he struggled to get the side playing in a coherent style. This season the structure of midfield has been a disaster consistently struggling to retain the ball helped by the fact has struggled to work out his best side as well as get anything out of big signings like Sangaré and Dominquez. That's not to say Nuno will get us playing liquid football but you have to think he will impose more structure and get more out of the players.

  • Sweet loan deals too.

  • Yes he did well at Wolves, given time and perhaps I'm focusing too much on his time at Spurs....which I think most would agree was a failure.

  • Great to see Nuno back. Really hope he can turn it around at Forest.

  • Orient 3 nil down at Bolton within ten minutes 🤦‍♂️

  • FFS Newcastle

  • Liverpool vs Arsenal game is a cracker so far.

  • fantastic game up till liverpool brought on their subs in the 68th minute, the newcomers didn't really bring the energy to the game that was hoped for. went a bit flat at that point and seems like both teams settled for a draw in that last 20 mins

shame not to be top of the pops for xmas but 1 pt off top ain't a bad position to be in.

bit worrying both our left backs are now out with serious shoulder injuries. looked like tsimikas fractured / broke his collarbone and robbo is still recovering from his dislocated shoulder. just got to protect gomez for a month and hope he can get us through till robbo's return.

  • Half way through the season, properly tight at the top of the Premier League and the bottom is tightening too (I fear for Forest)

  • And Spurs creep into the top 4.

  • Someone’s hit the merge button

  • I fear for Forest

Same. We played well yesterday so I'm a little more hopeful but it's hard when the referee is so utterly inept. VAR is utterly useless too, it's meant to correct clear and obvious errors which invariably results in bullshit handball penalties but it's out of its remit to prevent a player being sent off for being fouled. Ok.

  • Decision looked rubbish in real time - he clearly played the ball - but on reply it was farcical, if anything the other guy ended up as the top foot (not that there was anything wrong/intent, just the outcome of a solid ball winning challenge)

  • You miss Awonyi… a lot. How long is he out for? Get him back and you’ve a good chance to pull clear. Decision was daft, fact it can’t be looked at by VAR is even dafter.

  • You miss Awonyi… a lot. How long is he out for?

Another three weeks apparently. Losing him was massive as he's a perfect striker for the way we play, similar to DCL for you, but we have to defend better or else we'll continue to struggle.

  • Radcliffe deal confirmed at United. Looks like Brailsford might have some role there too.

    Jiffy bags for Maguire.
