  • Love it. Went there 12 years ago on a stag and went to a derby - can’t remember the other team. Looks like attendance is up quite a lot. The match was on a Saturday and we were pretty much the only people.

  • The real win of the evening was discovering pints of garlic bread.

  • Brazil forward Neymar, 31, requested a 25-room mansion, swimming pool and sauna, eight workers to keep his house tidy, nine cars and all expenses paid for travel, restaurants and hotels when he signed for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal

  • ..... plus a decent salary no doubt

  • requested

    and got?

  • Brazilian footballer Neymar will reportedly be paid £430,000 for every post on his Instagram that promotes Saudi Arabia

  • Cancel football, now. It's only going to get worse.

  • Neymar hasn't been a footballer since he got the hump at not being as good as Messi

  • His ankle is fucked.
I mean, it might be because he's an absolute shithouse and everyone wants to fucking boot him. But it might not.

  • Liverpool sign Endo from Stuttgart, am surprised Chelsea didn't gazump them on that one too.

  • Theo Walcott has retired at the age of 17.

he was the main target all along ! good work Jorg Schmadtke. £16mn is almost exactly the same as chelsea had to over pay for their two signings after we put in our bids.

lots of good reports coming out of germany on endo, , midfield dynamo endless running and a good team and national captain, endo is the new hendo but a couple of years younger

hope it works out for him and us.

jesus, he'll get paid better than any footballer in the premiershit for 5 minutes of typing a week
he doesn't even need to play football anymore

  • He won't even be doing the typing

  • Heehee

Good on him for wanting to have a go at life. and spurning saudi money

  • I liked Theo. And Alex.

    Unless I missed something?

  • Andy Carroll transfer-listed (along with 2 other players) after massive bust-up with Ruben Selles after Port Vale 1 - 0 Reading. Form an orderly queue, Saudi clubs!!

  • From bad to worse for you guys. Hope you manage to come back from the brink.

Surely you could get £10m for Carroll in Saudi considering other current valuations.

  • Not sure the Carroll lifestyle will fit in Saudi...

this is probably a blessing in disguise as he was clearly unable to play the high-tempo pressing game that Selles wants. And was just dragging the rest of the team down around him, as they kept taking the easy option to go long and it was just awful. 7 changes on Tuesday, avge age 22 and we were so much better.

    one too.

Apparently Liverpool have shown an interest in signing Harry Maguire, but Chelsea have responded saying that they aren't falling for that one.

United are an absolute cesspit of a club.

According to sources with knowledge of United’s planning, who remain anonymous because they are not authorised to speak publicly, the club’s preparations for Greenwood’s return also included an assessment of the expected sentiment of external figures, listing individual football pundits, journalists and politicians and stating whether they would be for or against Greenwood’s reintegration. The planning divided these people into categories to the effect of “supportive”, “open-minded” or “hostile”. The club’s document listed a series of domestic abuse charities assumed to be “hostile”...

The internal process has not consulted any charities specialised in supporting women in cases where alleged domestic or sexual abuse has occurred.

  • It's pretty fucking shameful.

  • Surely the only explanation for United's response here is that they have evidence or explanations that somehow reduce the impact of those photos & audio that were released - which would be quite something based on how damning it all looked

I can't grasp how you look at what was released and still back Greenwood, especially from a corporate POV - clubs have sacked players for much much less

  • The only explanation appears to be that the chief executive Richard Arnold and the director of football John Murtough had already decided that they wanted him back playing for the team and the whole process has been a damage limitation exercise.

  • It's purely down to the fact they still rate him as a a player with significant financial value.

    Which is disgusting.

Hopefully the sponsors turn around and stick the oar in which has financial impacts.
