£105m for Declan Rice.
Surely the death of football isn’t exaggerated.

You've mugged them off for £65m, though. He looked like a surefire 'straight back to the bundesliga' type. 19 goals in 91 league games isn't really setting the world on fire stats.

i know but being an out an out striker isnt what hes about, can see him linking play and being a star for arsenal mainly because he wasnt for chelsea

In Manchester City's decision making room when West Ham asked for £105 million. "Alright, no more Mr Rice guy"

£40m for Maddison doesn't seem unreasonable in today's market?

Price of getting relegated unfortunately for Leicester.

Good for Spurs to have someone with experience of relegation dogfights.

I reckon it's in his contract his league winners medal goes in the spurs cabinet
-

Unlikely since he hasn't got one, he joined two years after they won the league.

He never played as a 9 in the Bundesliga though, so asking him to play that role into several dysfunctional Chelsea sides was never going to bring out the best of him. On the flip side, it seems like Arteta wants him to play as an 8 and he's never really done that either, maybe he'll be playing as a KdB style 8 who presses with the striker out of possession. I think he'll be good for them though and he's definitely way too talented to be playing in the Bundesliga.

Goes to show how much I care about Madison, Leicester and spurs

It doesn’t really say whether he paid money for them though. The rest is proper tinfoil hat drivel.

Flavio Becca is a name anyone who's followed professional cycling for a while should recognise. He was the financier behind the Leopard-Trek team, which ended in acrimony, with Trek having to step in and save the team after the money dried up.

Forty per cent of footballers face the threat of bankruptcy within five years of retirement. Thirty per cent are divorced within 12 months of retirement. Thirty-three per cent face mental health issues.
Some stat that.

I would like him back at Reading- we are probably about the only club that don't hate him, and the third tier will probably be his level now. I fear though that he will be spectacularly unfit - doesn't strike me as the type who will have been training hard during a year without a club.

• #165922
looking back at all the danny drinkwater comments on the forum, everyone, whose club he played for, have loved him ..... with the possible exception of chelsea fans.

He was shit, fat and unfit. We hated him.
