I saw a Sky Sports clip on YouTube where they were talking up Mourinho PT III.

Emery is now the 12th longest-serving PL manager. After 16 games.
Where are we on the Liverpool boom/bust cycle now?
Imagine Klopp will walk/get pushed this summer when there's no money available and Salah leaves. -

Luis Enrique is in London for talks. Was he available when they appointed Potter

Forest owners with the kiss of death 'full support' statement... tick tock on his reign then.
In other news, who knew Callum Wilson would be the voice of reason on Potter:
Wilson said: “They’ve paid £20m to get him out of Brighton. Then you’ve given him a five-year contract as well, so you’ve got all those financial implications. Then you’ve let him spend £400m or whatever it is. Surely, you’ve got to let him ride the wave.
"Chelsea are not at the moment really pushing for anything because of the way the season’s gone. It’s like, ‘finish as high as we can, regroup in the summer, have a good pre-season, go again.’ He’s an English manager, who’s been unbelievable for Brighton for so long, but he gets quickly forgotten because a few bad games at Chelsea.
"Ultimately, you need the time. Look at what Arteta had – all of a sudden Arsenal are top of the league. With that squad that Chelsea have, that could have been them. You can’t tell me that Arsenal have a better squad than Chelsea, so you’d be thinking, give him time. The way he took Brighton from one level to another tactically. Chelsea are a much better squad – you’ve got better individuals to do that with."
Can't disagree with any of that.

Chelsea fans expect instant success. They turned against Potter very quickly and, once that happened, it was only a matter of time.
The rumour mill also suggests that the players at Chelsea are used to wielding a lot of power, so a low key manager like Potter will struggle with that too.
Hopefully they are fucked and will be back in the Championship where they belong in a year or two.

Let's not gloss over the many Arsenal fans also pushing for Arteta to go early doors in his tenure...
Agree with the rest though; to the championship with them!

Arsenal fans got spoilt by Wenger, especially in the early years when they actually won stuff.
Fans of any successful team go that way, just look at all the Liverpool fans that used to be on here and how they bleated on year on year.

True. United have spent nearly a decade in that spiral of immediate success. Looks like both them and Arsenal have hopefully locked onto quality long term managers (whatever long term looks like now in the PL).
On Liverpool - speaking of teams that deserve to be in the second tier....

Frank in as caretaker would be excellent top bantz from Boelhy.
-
• #165086
I would like Chelsea to sort their shit out and start getting the results the quality of their players merit.
But if Frank gets any kind of job there then fuck them. They deserve to be fucked

• #165098
won't he be managing a bunch of the players that didn't think he was good enough first time round ?
i'm guessing he's just there to make sure they are all wearing the same colour kit when they enter the field of play and have their shoe laces ties up correctly ....... till the end of the season

• #165099
It’s a savvy play from Todd and the disrupters

JT would do a much better job as caretaker. (full kit in the dugout natch)
It's only going to take one of the clubs who've recently sacked a manager to take an upward tick and Forest will follow the trend.
