too be honest i'm still not convinced. i may have been a bit pissed off after the 0-0 so the sale idea might have been a bit of out of order.
all the fan forums seem to like him, but to me he seems slow, and a bit negative. if we buy a couple of decent midfielders in the summer i honestly don't think he's a starter.

I bloody hope so - completely forgivable/mitigated for the difficult personal year he's endured but the club and Conte and Conte and the club are just not a good combination - just look at the language, expression and body language of everyone involved. It must take some effort to make earning 150k a week look so completely miserable.

He'd probably still be in a job if he'd stayed at Fulham. But the lure of big money (Bournemouth!?!) tempted him away, and it's been downhill from there it seems.

I think, not unlike Thiago, he's one of those players who will struggle to make an impression when the rest of the system is failing around them, but when it's working they're key to making it sing. His ability to receive the ball under pressure and still make a telling little forward pass is absolute class and is a lot of what Klopp wants from his attacking midfield player. He doesn't chew the ball like Thiago can do and gets it to Salah as quickly as possible at every opportunity. I think all we really need to know is that Klopp obviously loves him and has basically played him at every opportunity. He can't be shit.
