Mbappe is nowhere near the same league as Messi or Ronaldo. Until he plays his club football at a proper club in a proper league he’ll never get close, World Cup(s) or not. I’ll forgive Messi for playing at PSG as it’s clear Barca had to sell him and they were the only ones with enough swimming pools full of gold to buy him and pay him. After his years of winning everything he’s earned the right to play in a doss league at a joke club.

Looking at the result tonight makes our game against France even more galling. They’re really not that great, we had the absolute peach of chance to take them to extra time and I’d have given us a decent chance to win it, outright or penalties. But just didn’t have the calmness when needed.
