Anyone who watched the game: were we any better for having Henderson in the midfield?

I really hate to say it, but yes.

I can take that. I thought the last World Cup he was excellent, but he’s four years older now and the euros Rice/Phillips partnership was pretty solid.

Henderson was OK. Added a bit of bite. Still feels like we have a (max) semi final squad with a quarter final manager. OK against easier opposition but going to struggle against the better sides. Foden was good,Bellingham not bad. Still think rashford is not all that (free kick was good though). There should be more from the attacking talent we have.

Difficult to assess as Wales were not great. But was a good performance moved the ball quicker and showed more pressing intent. Foden adds a danger factor and having Henderson maybe gives Bellingham more freedom ? Also good to see trent Alexander get some game time.

my FIFA request.. bring the world cup back to Africa. Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal, Ghana, Cameroon, I have loved every match they feature in.. WC doesn't need to have state of the art stadiums, doesn’t need VAR, infrastructure nor technology.. just make it safe, inclusive and a celebration of the game..
