If you mean for England, given that the very out of form Harry Maguire is starting, it’s a hard “no” from me

On the upside because of vpn and definitely legitimate streams they can’t profit from my viewership.
That’ll show them.

I must admit to being very cold about the tournament. Until now (1 hour before kick off), the excitement is there for the game and the wish for England to do well in the tournament. Happy for Wales to do well too, just not against England.

I think it might. Germany ominously quiet…

Is Maguire even match fit? when was the last time he played 90 mins?
EDIT: played 100 Premier League minutes since the 4-0 defeat to Brentford on 13th August https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-maguire/leistungsdaten/spieler/177907

Feels very strange suddenly becoming an Iran fan.
Tadig and dates for lunch.

It's a strange one right enough.
I've got some dolmeh barge mo...on the go.

There's a pretty strong argument that expecting footballers and football fans (also see Newcastle, etc) to stand up against these regimes whilst our elected government is happy to take their cash and deal with them is a bit of a cop out.

Always been a big fan of checks notes Mehdi Taremi.

Oh how could you no be.
I really think this is Abolfazl Jalili's time to shine.

He is more like a spirit animal tho isn't he? Winning with him on defence makes the win greater/more impressive? Obvs being a bit of a Eriksen fan boy I have been watching most of Man Us games this season.

Denmark vs England in the final pretty please! We deserve a rematch

Goon on her, Alex Scott with the One Love armband pitchside. She was very vocal about gay rights on the coverage yesterday. Waiting for her to be escorted off.

If you've been watching Manchester United this season you won't have seen much of Maguire!!!
Spirit animal you say? Given pace, perhaps a sloth?

Feels very strange suddenly becoming an Iran fan.
Iran is one of the best countries I've ever been to, and certainly the friendliest. Lovely place, beautiful cities, awesome historical sites, good skiing, amazing people, many of them putting their lives on the line trying to get rid of their shitty government. And they don't let Brits or Americas into the country. Hope that makes it easier.

Kane to score the winner in 97th minute and run over and snog Southgate for a full minute in the dugout.

I guess taking knee is great because no booking.
Shower of cunts. Thunder cunts.

Come on "anyone but England"!
-
• #162945
@SomethingOrOther So you're arsed about the england team not making enough of a statement, but you're still watching it?
-
• #162946
I’m arsed about the “we stand for equality, unless it’s a tiny bit hard”
It’s half arsed at best.
-
• #162947
The ticketing is apparently all fucked too.
-
• #162948
Agreed, but I'd suggest any tournament for which 6000+ migrant workers died isn't worthy of having you watch it. I love footy and this is one of the few times I get to watch it on telly for free, but I don't intend to watch a second. Maybe not much of a statement, but it's what I can do.

Concussion protocols going well already. Shambles.

As I said elsewhere feeling all these issues need to be addressed and this being the pinnacle of the footballing world put fans in a disgraceful place.
I don’t think it should be in Qatar, I believe everyone should be able to love, I strongly feel everyone should go home from work every day and be paid fair for their work.
Also think it’s the pinnacle of football and will watch it as such. I will still say every time how bad it is and not bend those values because I want to watch it.
Is it coming home?
