And? You're going for the trite comment of the day?
The BBC will receive a thousand comments in that time, that two occasions oppose each other in a relevant way is not that surprising. Is it?
My mistake, comment by jingle was more valid than I assumed.

He was right, it was interesting to see how they reacted.

Well, looks like the spuds will stroll this title unopposed.

Did Pickford get carded for his tackle on VVD a couple years back?
Conspiracy nonsense is nonsense.

Pickford showing why he’ll always be miles ahead to nick pope,
Pope had a lot of games like that last season. We wouldn't have made it to the final day with something to play for without him.
-

That was largely in jest. Pope is an excellent keeper and pulled off a couple of quality saves against palace. I do think Pickford gets a weird amount of criticism though, especially given that his numerous unbelievable saves kept us in the league.

That whole incident was thoroughly odd. Pickford definitely should have gone, no idea what VAR was looking at.
Anyways having watched the foul back a couple of times I think I can see why a ref may have been given as a yellow, albeit a bad yellow. If it had been given as a red I don’t think anyone would have protested, though.

This is a much more reasonable analysis than your previous take. As a red I did a big intake of breath when they showed the replay. Would have been screaming for a red if that was roles reversed but I do think the lack of force probably helped save him. It was more of a block than a tackle if that makes sense. Very dark orange at best tho...

It's how United used to beat Arsenal when they were the big two. United let Arsenal play nice-looking triangles, absorb/soak-up, and hit the high back-four on the break.
United have scored many goals like that vs Arsenal.

I think part of it is he just looks more panicked and more frantic. Partly down to his personality, partly down to being a (relative) shortarse compared to keepers like Pope who doesn't have to hurl himself around as much.

On a separate note, I'm very much enjoying the lack of VAR in the Championship.

Reminds me of playing reading et al.
AHEM what's your problem with playing Reading?

I just watched Boro / Mackems. Good game, despite the low score. Some seriously heavy tackles!!

Awwww I was looking forward to Costa being back in Premier league.
Shithouse master.

Incredible that Chelsea have managed to spend £250m to become a far worse side.

NI womens team win 3-1, without scoring a goal, great tactics, just give the opposition the ball and they'll do it for you.

Crazy. Past games apart from spurs game Chelsea have been terrible. Tuchel has a big job on to correct things. Not quite crisis time but he has a big job on.
Well in the reminisces of Blackburn, derby, Swansea we also had plenty of good days... And this result is on the back of a much improved team recently.
