  • That would have been silly.

  • FACT: it’s now quicker to compile a list of players Forest haven’t signed than one of those they have.

  • Aubemeyang won’t work out. He’s a bad apple, not a team player. Him and Tuchel will fight like cat and dog.

Will be interesting to see. I read a quote on the beeb from Todd Boehly saying he was proven premier league quality etc. Etc. And I’m thinking surely this is the kind of statement the manager should be making not the owner.

  • Look at his CV - the Arsenal spell was the longest (by 2x) that he’s stayed at a club. His Premier League goal tally is flattering, IMO. Bottom line numbers hide the inconsistency.

  • Aubameyang is shit. But I guess Tuchel knows him and thinks he can make it work.

Got nothing against Chelsea but I hope it doesn’t work out and they can just get sterling, havertz and others properly clicking

  • From what he’s said before seems he enjoyed having him in his Dortmund squad no?

“Back in the days at Dortmund, it was a pure pleasure to have him in the squad,” Tuchel said.

“Auba was a fantastic striker, a fantastic finisher on the pitch. But, more than that, he was a fantastic worker off the pitch.

“I think he did not miss one single training in two years. Maybe he arrived five minutes late on the training ground, that can happen with him! But if he does this, he is in a hurry, he feels sorry, he still has a smile on his face.

“It was a very reliable relationship because he delivered an unbelievable amount of goals, his speed was unique in the Bundesliga and he was a crucial player. A bit of a crazy guy, but nice crazy.

“We still are in touch and exchange messages when one of us has a big win. In some ways, he will still always be my player, so I want him to succeed and have a good time wherever he is.

“This contact never fully stopped and it’s nice to see him because he’s always on for a hug and it’s nice to see him laugh. But, of course, we want to stop him and there is no exchange now before the game.”

  • So, @Prole. what's James Garner like? My youtube scouting mission shows him as quite the all-rounder.

  • Burnley have signed 16 players and released/sold 13 this window.

A bit of a change from the other year when the whole of our transfer activity was signing Dale Stephens.

  • With you on this having seen turbo timo not work out I really want Havertz to start making an impact. Stirling is a cut above any one else in the chelsea forward line such a good signing

  • So, @Prole. what's James Garner like? My youtube scouting mission shows him as quite the all-rounder.

Yeah he's a classic 8 really, what stands out is his set-piece delivery. As good as he was for us it was in the championship though so I worry about his ability to step up and take charge of midfields in the prem.

  • Cheers. Yep I'm not expecting a 21 year old to come in and boss a midfield, though he did look handy from my extensive youtube scouting. One chiefly for the future, hopefully a decent option off the bench and a few cup outings.

  • Well yeh, Bayern aside, it was kinda always going their way. Different kettle of fish when you’re battling every weekend.

  • So what’s your prediction for tonight? Not hopeful for us…

  • Ngl, quite enjoying watching the Danish Superliga for free on OneFootball. Also didn't realise until recently you can get Eredivisie/Pro League games on Mola.TV for free as well...

  • Who knows. When we click we can look really good but I fear you may be a bit too tough and streetwise for us.
    Anything between 1-4 and 4-1.

  • Upsetting timing but don't think we deserved more than a point tonight. You pressed really well and could have won with attackers who could score.

  • Just got home.

    This.

Better chances fell our way but we can’t score to save our lives right now. Really pleased our new kid got the equaliser.

  • Crazy money being thrown around this window.

Still can’t make my mind up if we’re actually stronger than 12 months ago. Lukaku felt like the final piece of the jigsaw. Now it feels like we’ve got a complete new jigsaw but not sure if we’ve got all the pieces or whether they even fit.

Still think the Gordon offer is silly money for that kind of player. I’m sure he’ll go on to have an amazing season now…

Werner getting 4 goals and 2 assists in four games sums it all up really

  • Yeah werner doing well back in Germany. I so wanted him to do well he's just a likable bloke and he never hid away from his lack of goals.

  • The friday Bundesliga match on Sky football YouTube too.

  • I was surprised that no-one in the championship went for Grabban, even at his age he's still fit and will get goals. Also disappointed that we didn't manage to keep him.

  • Many things about our transfer policy are a mystery. Especially to those in charge of it.

Still, our last minute goal scorer last night was our new 24yr old signing from Salford City FC, on his debut, who cost £300k so that’s one positive.
