Ancelotti at City would be 125 goals a season, easily.
-
• #161153
Ancelotti is essentially the nice Nana of football, where kids get to express themselves properly.
-
• #161154
This. Ancelotti is just great.

Haaland to city is interesting. Will pep change the system to adapt to his strengths? Lumping balls in the channels for him to chase. La hoooooof ball

Haaland is a fantastic player, but doesn't seem like a Guardiola player. Same as Grealish last summer. Not going all out for Kane still seems odd.
-
• #161157
Last chance saloon for Kane this summer if he fancies winning silverware.
Considering he’s not overly bothered about winning things maybe PSG could be an option if Mbappe rejects that deal.

• #161158
Take it you listened to the athletic football tactics podcast last week?
-
• #161159
I didn't!
-
• #161160
I did talk about how the ultimate diss for pep would be Carlo taking over and winning the big cup with the same players. Again.

Not going all out for Kane still seems odd.
Haaland has cost one third of what Levy wanted for Kane.
-
• #161162
But the other two-thirds was spent on Grealish, who is useless in a Pep team.
I stand by £165m for Kane last summer is better than £100m for Grealish last summer and £65m for Haaland this summer.

United paid £2m more for Fred than City have paid for Haaland.

Grealish will be player of the year next year.
Kane will remain trophyless forever.
Available for other bold predeixitiona if desired.

Are you on crack?
-
• #161169
I was on crack then, clearly.
-
• #161170
But Haaland for £51 million is a steal. Kane for £150 million with next to no resale, definitely not a steal.
-
• #161171
If you are trading assets, yes. But football is about glory and I think City would have won the Champions League this year with Kane in the team.
Neither Grealish or Haaland seem like Pep players to me, but sure I will be proven wrong next year.
-
• #161172
Does Kane seem like a Pep player to you?
-
• #161173
Yes, in that he is as good a 10 as he is a 9. Kane's work rate, football intelligence, passing and build up play are all exceptional. I'm disappointed he didn't go to City because it would have been nice to see.

kane's a loser

Kane is washed up and past it, in pep terms.
It takes a season to learn pep ball. Kane wouldn't have slotted straight in. It's not a sensible business decision to make, with Haaland being available within a year. And, city do seem to make a lot of sensible decisions now.I think people were slating Raheem Sterling and then he stepped up some more.
Mahrez is another.
It’ll be fun either way. He doesn’t strike me as influential as Mbappe or Benzema. Not sure how his heat map compares to other top drawer strikers but his stats indicate he’s most active in the penalty box and doesn’t get as involved in build up play. His pressing is apparently the highest and most effective of Lewandowski, Benzema, Mbappe and Kane. Didn’t expect that.
