Looks like Abramovich is looking to sell the club.. probably the only way to stop it getting sanctioned I suspect.

If Chelsea have a downturn, can one or two of the other 'big' PL clubs step up a bit please. There's only City stopping Liverpool winning everything, and we all know how appalling their fans are when they don't win very much.
Looking at you Arsenal/Spurs. -

Abramovich trying to punt to a US seller. Are Chelsea fans still unaware of his relationship with Putin?
I hope we freeze the asset first.

There could interest from other parties in a deal to buy Chelsea. The US businessman Todd Boehly and the Ineos chairman, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, have reportedly tried to buy the club in the past.
That'll do wonders for their PR.

I think it was only a matter of time in the current situation that it was going to happen. He has brought massive success to Chelsea. And while his ties to putin have been brought in to sharp focus in the recent week. And his Ties don't sit comfortably with me at present.
Did I love winning the big cup twice... yes and I'd be a hypocrite if said "no I can't abide this win beacuse of Abramovich and how he made his money"This is not a whataboutism but will Usmanov be in a similar situation?
Edit. Just read its indirect such as sponcer deals and Everton have cut ties already.

He was ordered to buy it by Putin as a sports washing and influence exercise, as Catherine Belton's sources showed. The brass neck to try and launder his reputation with rubbish about putting the money towards Ukraine when he is known to be Putin's personal cashier is astonishing.

The silence of Chelsea fans is still deafening.

They're reminiscent of the Newcastle gay fans group who said it was fine that Saudi Arabia executed gays because they might bring some good new signings to help in the relegation battle.

Alexey Navalny on Abramovich:

Fucking hell - can you imagine Spurs fans if they won something? No thanks.

The Bin Laden family are considering buying Chelsea but are worried that being associated with Premier League football might tarnish their reputation.

How would writing off his huge loan to Chelsea comply with FFP?
-
• #160548
The usual trick is to convert it into shares isn't it? Uhoh.
-
• #160549
Everyone knows Chelsea aren’t subject to FFP rules.

He's not actually said they're being written off. Just won't ask for them to be repaid.
I see what you did there
