I'd say VAR cant work. One man's tackle is another man's foul. Cricket and rugby can apply particular objective measures. Football can't.

And while there are plenty of contentious decisions from before VAR, I don't think anyone was thinking of abandoning it as a pastime...

He’s a dirty bastard and is guilty of a few season ending tackles. He may well have seen more reds if VAR was in earlier. Lucky for him it’s not used in the Championship yet.

Stop using conspiracy to down play a claimed bias. A bias towards "hard working English salt of the Earth players." CF shawcross, any Bolton player from more than 10 years ago etc. Lack of censure, comment, is the bias...

The only one I can think of was Wesley which was a clean tackle (VAR was also in place then and reviewed it). I don't think there are many centre halves out there who haven't been involved in some injury or another.
