I don't know how I'd put up with the abuse for what seems like very little reward in an England shirt
This. They don’t do it for the money. I’d say clubs would be a lot happier if they didn’t play for the national team nowadays.

I get that Benitez managed their great rivals, but he’s a good manager and a good fit for a club like Everton.
They punched well above their weight in enticing Ancelotti to the club, this is a return back to the norm.

My rational mind agrees with you, but there's something about it that just feels very, very wrong.

Rafa only deals in FACTS.

Rafa to Everton is the second most hilarious managerial appointment of the new season after whoever finally stoops to the Spurs job.

Pair a load of knock-off AirPods to a phone streaming the match and give everyone one pod so you can have a “silent disco” listening party punctuated by all of you shouting “SHIIITTTT” at random intervals

I'm going to my brother-in-law's engagement party on Saturday.
I don't think he's that into football but I think some of the other guests will be.
It's at a pub, so they should be showing it. If not, I'll find another pub.

The main point about Rafa is that he once described Everton as "a small club".
At some point in his Everton career he'll say something disparaging about Liverpool, and the Everton fans will love it.
C'est la fucking vie. Football fans are mostly a bunch of tribal braindead fuckheads.

Nuno confirmed at Spurs. He did a great job with Wolves and was a great ambassador for the club. The opposite of Gattuso.

Messi is now available on a free transfer. I could use some help in my workshop...

FIFA predictions for this match aren't too clear, we've been playing as the "home" team but generally winning on semi-pro after progressing from amateur with some practice, so did two matches, first like that, Switzerland were 2-0 up at half time with Spain pulling one back. More likely was our second on professional, which I think is medium difficulty, Spain bossed the game with us limited to a few crosses and bad shots, winning 2-0, judging by the early goal going in I think that's the more likely result.

Why are there Vietnamese flags all round the ground?
Also, we deserve pens.

Very much this

Glad the air horn from the first half has run dry but the bell is fucking annoying. Football more of a Tuesday than a Monday feel.
-
• #157748
The Swiss doing France then Spain on penalties would be pretty good going.
