  • A fit Harry Kane is a world class striker. He just looks a combination of knackered/injured at the moment.

  • #1 would definitely be Lewandowski

I can't really make a top 5 off the top of my head but I'd probably put Benzema in front of Haaland

@Tonts I agree he looks knackered but I question if him not performing at the Euros isn't more the fault of the way the team is set up rather than his fitness.

  • Harry Kane better than Ronaldoโ€ฆ.?
    Jesus Christ.

  • Awwwww shite. Sill from ampadu. Now just don't get tonked. Rear guard action.

  • This is a game played by two teams who don't really mind a 1-0.

You might expect Italy B to be a bit more keen to make themselves stand out for the knockout stages but it looks like they're just happy to be there.

  • I looked up Sirigu on Wikipedia. The start of his bibliography is excellent:

Born in Nuoro, Sardinia, Italy, Sirigu started his football career in Venezia's youth system playing as a midfielder. He was known for his powerful back heels which he used to take penalty kicks. He had been training as an attacker for a local amateur side, Puri e Forti, at 11 years old, when coaches concluded that his asthma condition would hinder him too much as an outfield player. Instead, observing Sirigu's unusually large hands, they told him to have a go in goal.

  • Well done Wales.

  • They should knock the euros back to 16 teams and 4 groups. There has been one good game so far (Portugal vs Germany). Better to have fewer games, but all played between quality sides. A load of cannon fodder 3rd place teams going through to the next round makes no sense.

  • well done Wales. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  • They really are an organisation with no shame..

    Uefa not Wales!

  • There has been one good game so far (Portugal vs Germany).

Someone missed England vs Scotland then.

  • Yeah get fucked Uefa. Showing suport for LGBTQ is not a political gesture. And Hungary's right wing Gov is scary

  • Thank God for Brexit! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • It was a fairly low quality game wasn't it?

I didn't see Belgium Vs Denmark or Ukraine Vs Netherlands. Maybe they were good games.

  • Good to see Gareth reacting to performances on the pitch and shaking things up....

  • Think someone in the uefa realised the epic wtf and came to their senses.

  • no drama - he'll be back for the semis

  • Ive quickly gone through the stages of grief, shock, bargaining etc and I'm already at acceptance.

We have plenty of cover in that area, it is what it is.

Also, I don't think he has Covid, he's produced a positive test but I'd put money on subsequent tests being negative.

  • The England team were all fine as none of them got close enough to Gilmour during the game.

  • Absolutely! Even joking aside, no England players test positive, no other Scottish players or staff....Just Covid magnet Billy? Not buying it.

Disclaimer: Not in a tin foil hat way just reckon its a false positive. Dont know why it has to be 10 days and not a negative test or two in the next few days.

15 minutes at ~2m distance. No-one spends that long that close to someone during a 90 minute game, not even if you're man marking someone. And it's outside (during the game and training obviously).

Interesting it hasn't spread within the Scotland camp, but that might be because they're being ultra careful about it and planning to avoid that given that a big outbreak within a team would just mean they have to forfeit.

The players are being PCR tested every couple of days by the sounds of it. I'd also assume that a positive test is backed up by a subsequent retest to attempt to rule out false positives, but we don't have those details.

  • Can all but guarantee teams aren't being extra careful about it. Gilmour, McGinn and Robertson were all playing table tennis last night (I know thats not tonsil tennis but still).

Its either a sporting bubble or it isn't.

Its my understanding (I dont have much understanding) that a retest has to be done the next day and there has to be two negative tests (two days) to rule out the first one....or summit.

Anyway, just peeved. It'll be fine.
