Superb penalty shootout. Coquelin’s into the roof of the net was special but there were tons of excellent penalties.

• #156603
Ooof harsh de Gea.
-
• #156604
Strangest game of football I’ve ever seen but a beautiful result.
-
• #156605
Yea that was my favorite
-
• #156606
That was lovely - United were utter dogshit, got what they deserved.

Solskjaer saves all his subs to the end to get his best penalty takers on the pitch, but leaves a keeper that hasn’t saved a penalty for over 5 years on when he has a better keeper on the bench. 🤷♂️
11 penalties later and he still hasn’t saved another 😂
Probably the last thing De Gea will do in a United shirt.

Hard not to appreciate the minerals it takes to dice with skying it in the penalty shootout of a European final.
-
• #156609
If De Gea had stood perfectly still for all of those penalties he’d have saved two. Easy for me to say, obviously.

Very soon they’re going to have to rename it the Unai Emery Cup, replace the trophy with a bronze cast of Emery’s terrifying vampire head
-
• #156611
So Unai Emery has won twice as many European trophies than Arsenal?? hand clapping tonight’s result
-
• #156612
The chances of "doing a waddle" are high so to place it in the top corner shows courage
-
• #156613
That was a great penalty shoot out, with the perfect ending
Only a shame it couldn't have gone on longer - with the same result obvs.

• #156614
So now we can add Juan Foyth and Etienne Capoue to the list of players that have left Tottenham to win a trophy elsewhere.
-
• #156615
Emery has turned Capoue and Foyth into Euro trophy winners, beaten Arsenal and Manchester Utd while doing it, and previously turned Arsenal into a pile of shit they haven’t recovered from. Surely Levy’s got to go all out for him as next manager.

Is that 99 players now? Odds on Kane being the 100th?

Some big clubs going down in Germany, Schalke have been gone for a while (crazy to think they were in the Champions League as recently as 2019 and got to the semi's in 2011), Werder Bremen relegated (won the Bundesliga in 2004) and now Koln lost the home leg of the playoff's 1-0.

• #156619
Was v surprised to see Bremen relegated but there form took a massive dive in the 2nd half of the season
-
• #156620
The Sheriff back at Spurs?
-
• #156621
i think at that point I was mainly torn between whether to have pint number 7 or not on first piss up in London this year
-
• #156622
yeah I was fizzing. just not watching the game.
pretty gutted to miss that epic penalty shoutout. from what I have read about the game those penalties were more than deserved
-
• #156623
I listened to the first half on the radio whilst doing the washing up and concluded it was a shit game not worth watching upstairs. A mistake in hindsight!
-
• #156624
Pirlo sacked. Lolz.

This is peak spursy
That was a great penalty shoot out, with the perfect ending
