I don't think anyone is denying that it makes sense for the owners who stand to make more money. That's not insightful at all.

I kind of disagree. I’d probably be more interested in seeing the champions of Spain, Italy, England, France, Portugal, Germany and the Netherlands face each other home and away and have a play off to settle it at the end, you could even call it the Champions League, but there’s no money in it for UEFA.

Boris Johnson chiming in on the Super League is one step too far. Brexit was pretty much done for the exact same reason, pure greed and keeping the unwanted out.

the whole concept of the super league as franchise is anti football. The whole relegation promotion is so ingrained in football to remove it kills the game
