Funny isn't it. i did a quick search on several key spanish and german players and they all seem pretty settled with their long term partners, speak a few languages, enjoy culture, live modest lives...

I was walking through Ravenscourt park the other day about 4ish, they have a bunch of real middle class white kids - between 8 and 10 years old - playing football. it was all touch to control, short pass and move, there was not one boy who could dribble or drop a shoulder.
Towards the end of the park the local kids were playing, south american, african, complete mixed bunch of rag tags, but they were all trying to be the next kaka or xavi. some lovely touches and flicks, darting runs.. complete difference.

At that age??? why???
Does football mean a different thing? is it the way their parents play? is it the players they look up to?? either way i know what players i'd rather have in my under 11s side..
