I wonder how many of these wrappers will be found at the bottom of kitchen 'thing' drawers and tucked away in the back of filing cabinets when sons & daughters clear out their elderly parents homes 50 years from now?
Even two would be two too many.

Yeah, maybe - I suspect they won't though.
They're obviously not even a uk company any more let alone a Brum one, but given the history of Bourneville and all the rest maybe sticking a few quid to local club or charity might have been an appropriate idea before inevitably tieing in with a bigger club; not that I imagine anyone involved had that thought at any point in the design of that product!

Don't Chelsea own enough players?

Fuck off Wilder and your no-mark club. You lost. Get over it.
Martinez looks like like a cracking keeper.

The fall and fall of Kepa.
Quite a contrast to Jonathan Wilson’s article yesterday.
The guy is getting absolutely destroyed atm, like watching a car crash in slow motion. It’s actually horrible to watch.
-

Yeah I feel a bit for him. But he has the fact he is young and has time to bounce back. But not sure it will be in England.. He may do OK back in Spain. But his confidence is gone and he is being hung out to dry.
-

Yup. Read Wilson’s article on the GK stats and chances conceded at Derby and Chelsea under Lampard. Upgrading the GK is not the fix we need if defensive shortcomings are not being addressed.
It’s going to be a stupid intense season followed by the Euros and Olympics and next season and in 2022 it’ll be the WC so regular football calendars are not coming back until summer 2023, for that reason alone I believe doubling down on attackers is probably a good idea right now. Somehow doubt that changing our LB and GK is going to fix our softness at the back. At least we won’t have to play Liverpool every week....

this is the guy who refused to be subbed? always wondered why chelsea fans and players didn't kick him out of the club after that . when you are that arrogant you need to be able to catch the ball during open play and kick it to your defenders. if i remember rightly he dived over a penalty in the shoot out at wembley. what goes around comes around

When he was getting mauled at the weekend I thought back to that and felt less sorry for him.
But then again, tactically subbing a keeper is a dick move anyway and I can see why he was annoyed.
Reading the biography of Robert Enke I've started to feel a lot more instinctively defensive of keepers. And a much stronger dislike of Frank de Boer.

Yeah I know that was such a dick move by keper and showed a real disrespect too the game. I'm just not a fan of seeing someone getting crushed on camera I don't want him at the club but at the same time I don't want to break him.

Our[1] 5-a-side keeper let in 3 goals he should never have tonight. Two underneath him, down to almost trickling speed as they went in, one of them they'd already given up on and had turned to track back up the pitch, but the third 'oof' was direct from a corner - it was fired across, going off for a throw in, but he instinctively put his hand out and deflected it into the goal.
We lost by 5 (despite being 6-5 up) so it wasn't all down to him.
But still. #kepa
(He's a good keeper though. We/they'd be fucked without him.)
- Well, I'm a ringer as our team doesn't have the numbers to put in a side this 14-week season, so I'm filling in the gaps for other teams that are short (and desparate).

You can hope for his sake, he gets some time to rebuild in the reserves and let it all blow over. Then impress in training etc and get another chance at some point if he's still ruined then it's time to move on...
What we tried with Karius and then there was the preseason smoke arms in the background of an interview. we loaned him out.. chelsea aren't shy of that, might help not lose too much £ on him

• #154217
Lampard played alongside David James right? Surely he should know how to handle this situation.
-
• #154218
Are we saying Kepa is worse than Claudio Bravo?
-
• #154219
I think we're saying Frank is being Frank and expecting Claude to save the day.

In that other universe you used to go on about Chalfie, I heard Scott Carson was being paid by Man City

Have we had Ryan Reynolds taking over Wrexham AFC. Brilliantly bonkers story.
-
• #154223
Claudio at least won us a penalty shoot-out.

Mendy is also not that great with his feet and that maddening slide the ball across the box triangle game will cause him problems too.
when done well its great but some times with Chelsea it's like it's in slow motion. it makes me nervous. -

nice to see Havertz get hatrick last night. On a couple of forums people were writing him off after 2 games, fucking ridiculous. It may take half a season maybe more for a player to settle.
That's this new 'Official Chocolate bar' thing:

If anyone really needs an Official Chocolate Partner, it seems a bit of a pity that Cadbury's aren't more closely associated with the Birmingham clubs tbh.
