  • Who have United got upfront now?

  • United are such a joke.
    Juventus are having a mare.
    Madrid faltering under Zizou
Bayern haven’t strengthened where they need and not sure Sane deal is still on (acl ?)

Other than France - I can see 3 of the leagues being quite interesting at the top this year

  • This. The guy isn’t made for it and not sure he fits into the Spurs team. Gio Lo Celso is a great deal on the other hand. Him and N’Dombele is excellent business

  • He looks the real deal to me and has pretty good stats - would be a very spursy signing

  • Fans wanted levy to back pochettino and he is doing that.
Pochettino wanted to remake midfield and ndombele and Lo Celso (fingers crossed he signs at time of writing) do that.
Dybala is a last minute punt because juve need to get him off their books. He’s today’s equivalent of van der vaart, and I trust pochettino to get the best out of him..

  • He’s today’s equivalent of van der vaart

    Damning
You won't want him fucking up the hard running and relentless all action you've got.

  • Luiz wants out of Chelsea because he has been told that he will only play a peripheral role. Emery has presumably told him that he will be a regular starter at Arsenal. Chelsea are happy to let him go to a “rival”.

I think that tells us all we need to know about Arsenal and their ambitions.

  • It's a wonder he didn't sign for them earlier in his career so he could really finesse his erratic defensive qualities.

That said, I think he'll be a good signing for them. Luiz, high defensive lines, pinging balls to Aubebameyang and Pepe. Oooof.

  • Was the 16/17 season the highest average goal per season but the PL with 2.89?

  • Scott Carson to City.

Could he be the first person to win Champions League medals with two different clubs without playing in the competition?

  • Player that comes up and levy is like why the fuck not!
Rather than his actual playing style.

Again in Pochettino we trust. He’s a great coach, I think he can get the defensive side out of Dybala. If we do get him I do wonder about the team dynamics and how the huge wage could upset that, as @clintsmoker and @cmburns have talked about.
New stadium, new players, new wage problems..

  • Anyone spotted Harry today yet?

  • Dybala not happening apparently.

  • Hopefully Ndombele and Sessegnon will be enough to keep Poch happy, else when the United job becomes available (Dec/Jan), I can see him going this time.

  • where'd you hear that?
I am currently as engaged in a deadline day as I've ever been.
refreshing pages all over the place..

  • when the United job becomes available (Dec/Jan)

Imagine. Gets pissed off with Levy's transfer dealings, goes to work for Ed Woodward instead.

  • ahh just seen the ornacle has said Juventus have pulled the plug, something about them using him as a player swap/makeweight for Mauro Icardi.
    That sucks!

Like getting excited and spending all the money (in your head) of that bonus you're definitely getting and then not getting the bonus.

  • Ed Woodward really is a piece of work.

  • With Lukaku gone, is this the start of railoa's summer moves?

  • backing poch at the eleventh hour. just dont see why clubs are so badly run that they are faffing around with hours to go. can see poch leaving at xmas as well if this doesnt pan out for him today

  • Right -
    1 Citeh
    2 Liverpool
    3 Spurs
    14 Villa
    Down - Sheffield, Brighton, Newcastle

  • Levy's gonna Levy.
Pochettino knows Levy by now, and this is the biggest investment in players that he's made (outside of the Bale money reinvestment) for a manager. As much as he'd like Levy to stop being so last minute, he is what he is..
If Pochettino gets Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon, despite them arriving late, I think he'll be happy enough.

  • Down - Sheffield, Brighton, Newcastle

    Really?
    Sheffield to go down?

I think/hope they'll stay up based on wanting to prove everyone wrong.

  • Yep - wouldn't mind them staying up, but think after an OK start they'll be worked out and don't have enough quality throughout. The aggressive overlapping fullbacks thing will leave them too open in the PL.

  • think you do Graham Potter a disservice.
He's got more money to play with than at any of his previous clubs, is by all accounts an excellent coach who makes players better and who players want to play with. I think Brighton will stay up with something to spare..
