First day back at work after being in madrid (didn't get a sniff of a ticket after missing out in the ballot) I'm feeling a bit broken, but still buzzing.
Spoke to a spurs fan who paid 2.5k for his... I understand his reasoning, first time etc but fuuuck that's a lot of cash
As said the game was shite, but being a goal up after a minute changed everything, we could let spurs have it to do nothing with as they were scared of us on the break.

He gave a great self deprecating interview to Danny Baker a while back,
freely admitting he was only on the pitch to act as Le Tissiers' minder.
Inspiring to read of his subsequent athletic charitable feats. -

Hazard for a £88m base fee and up to £120m+ with add ons. Better than what I originally thought.
Shame we won’t be able to invest it back into the squad this year.

Um. Thanks I think...

Who’s next for Chelsea?

I can't see it, way too soon... He'd be daft to take it... On the other hand, it's totally gonna happen, isn't it?

It’s a terrible idea...
Really liked what Jody Morris did in the academy and having a transfer ban could prove to be a blessing in disguise. He and Frank seem to gel.
Press and fans might actually be a bit more patient and bleeding a handful of youngsters into the squad has to be a good thing. If not now than when?

Fantastic fundraising and it's not easy, but 5 ironmans in 5 days should be pretty manageable for anyone who has had a career as a professional athlete.

Professional athlete is a bit much to describe footballers from Benali’s era. He lived on curry when he played for Southampton.

Absolutely shocked by this news. Only three weeks ago we were at Wembley for the FA Trophy Final after having won the National League title. Now this. RIP Justin, and thanks for helping us get back on track again.

No posts about World Cup? Have enjoyed the start although one sided games so far. I know which Engerland to watch today.

I don’t think Abramovich would go for a rookie manager who finished 6th in the second tier during his only season in management.
One of the main reasons he did so well is because he was able to get some excellent loan deals in using his contacts. The jury is still out on his tactical nous.
Obviously he will be Chelsea manager at some point but I think it’s too rosy for him right now.
Interestingly, Morris has been doing a lot of work with our academy setup whilst also being assistant to Frank. He’s already been busy moving players between u18, u23 and first team squads for next year.

I completely agree but this is Chelsea we're talking about... 🤪

Congratulations to England for their first trophy since 1966. The Third Place Play-Off Trophy is something we will all remember for years to come. Not just the winning of it but the style of the win.
Pity the Honours List came out just before the game or, I am sure, we would have a number of new knights bending the knee. Come the New Year, we will be taking about Sir Harry Kane.

Is it a good thing that a team can win 13-0 in a world cup?
-
• #150447
I had to check that it wasn't Belgium v Scotland you were talking about.

I think that it shows the pace of development of the women's game is not uniform. I also believe that this will settle down as the game becomes more widespread, more money comes into it and standards improve across the board.

Australian defence was shocking against Italy... My better half, who is half Aussie and half Italian, was wooping it up when the Italians got physical with the 'Matildas'...
I hate that the Aussies have to brand all of their teams like that... Disgusting...
This seems never ending.
