  • ^lol. Playing football, most on here barely watch it.

  • That’s a bit harsh on you supporters of Championship teams.

  • Dat first Arsenal goal 👌

  • Thought United looked decent last night, especially given they had McTomminay and Fred in midfield, who both totally outshone Pogba.

  • Almost finished it. Pretty depressing reading so far. Especially if I have any thoughts on letting jnr play football when he’s older

  • Wallace and Colin, in that article, coached my two boys from 6/7 years old at Ferndale. The oldest one, who's 16 and is playing non-league now, helps coach the young kids there and still plays 5-a-side on a Friday night with the guys he started out with as a young-un himself.

I've had this conversation with Wallace many times and I'm pretty sure much of what he said in the interview wouldn't have been publishable.

  • Barney ronay riding to the defence of Sarri

    This feels particularly pertinent
“Sarri is just the manager Chelsea need at a time of austerity and transfer bans, with an interest in systems and patience rather than the old sack-and-spend”

  • Talk about your own lack of a cheese room

  • Still undefeated in the new stadium.
Family commitments mean I’m probably not going to see a match in it until next season.
But if we keep winning in it won’t be too sad.
Back upto third, moura with a hat trick and lots of players getting a rest before the return match with city.. good weekends work..

  • Expecting a tonking today. Could be worse than the 6-0 against City. If we play anything like we did on Thursday we will be lucky to keep it in single figures.

  • I should have a soft spot for Cardiff. My mum and my father in law were both born there (and FIL is an avid supporter), but I just can't get past the Colin factor.

  • As such, yesterday's result has made me very happy.

  • I went to watch Ipswich at Brentford on Wednesday, and it was obvious they were already relegated even if that wasn't a reality until yesterday.

The fans (1,600 of them) were in quite good spirits, with "Que será, será, whatever will be will be, we're going to Shrewsbury" and "We're all going on a League One tour."

It's a shame they weren't so jovial 9-10 years ago when Magilton got sacked for 'only' finishing 8th.

Mick McCarthy must be feeling vindicated now as well, and rightly so - he got a huge amount of undeserved stick from the fans despite doing wonders at times - getting into the playoffs a few years ago masked a world of problems.

  • City are going to win the league, and it's going to be hugely influenced by a player they fell out with and let go who's gone on to be a bit of a national icon.

I'd rather Liverpool won than City, but that's still quite funny.

  • Raheem Sterling? He's just a poor man's Jordan Ibe.

  • When you've got Glen Johnson bombing on, any player ahead of him is just a luxury.

  • quality match today
we looked brilliant in all positions, 8/10's all over the pitch, just what we needed
hazard nearly ruined the party with two chances but we held out

come on spurs / man utd, pretty please, give us a chance

  • I think City will drop points and reckon Liverpool are favourites after getting through the Spurs, Saints and Chelsea unscathed.

They’ve turned it on every time they’ve needed to.

I’ll be booking a three week holiday to escape their fans and the inevitable hyperbole/loss of perspective.

  • I'm not so sure. Spurs and Utd may be tougher fixtures, but I still reckon City should edge them. And I'm still too scarred by recent years to believe Liverpool won't drop points in the remaining games.

Still, nice to have the supposedly toughest hurdle cleared. There's a lot less anxiety around the team compared to previous years. At times, it looked like Chelsea were being bullied out of it. Good to have Salah looking happier too.

  • I was wondering where in the world you'd go to escape Liverpool fans, I suspect Liverpool is probably the best place.

  • He was much better in the Sopranos

  • @tommmmmmm Sad times for Ipswich. Been coming, but I still have a soft spot for them since the early 80s. Hope you smash league 1.
In other news, 8 wins on the bounce... Best run for over 40years. Enjoying the Smith reign so far. But playoffs are so harsh. Not looking forward to it after last year.
