I'm sure you can remember worse defeats Clive.
Losing 2-1 to Shrewsbury at home was worse.

Got the win against a pretty stubborn and defensive newcastle side.
Wasn’t pretty, didn’t have many chances, but we got the points and upto second. And after another transfer window with no signings, it’s all hands to the pump as the forgotten man Janssen has been brought back into the fold. Have no idea if he’ll play any games but he’s in the squad again..

you always score late
quite annoying really ! thought rafa had done it again -

Nice to see Higuaín off the mark and get a goal in his second match. Sadly we can’t play Huddersfield every week.

Son Heung-Min speaks excellent English. But with an unmistakably French accent. Why?

Joey Barton taught him.

Hopeful we’ve got a proper title race on here. Both teams capable of dropping points in between
Can’t see spurs getting in on it but you never know. Actually, you do. It’s fucking spurs.
City are going to get stretched by the cups and I can’t work out why Guardiola kept Aguero on until 80 mins. And that grey cardigan is shit.

You don't have an absorbant outer layer to your rain jackets?

Yeah! Football! Who's watching the game tonight? I'm hoping McVay can pull it off.
Where's the thread? Thanks

this article has nothing to do with spurs, and/or Pochettino managing his socks off through a lack of player investment (whether through his own inaction, or managments inability to pull the trigger) and keeping us on the edge of the title race.
But I did love these two paragraphsSo, credit to City then for showing laudable gumption under pressure, finding a second goal of exquisite quality just as things were threatening to go awry before half-time and then dominating the second half so completely Arsenal did not muster a shot. But on the other hand: lads, it’s Arsenal.
It’s four years since the Coquelin Peculiarity, that still inexplicable afternoon when Arsenal came to the Etihad with a bodged-together midfield, played an unfamiliar containing game and won 2-0. This was their 19th away game since against one of the Big Six. They have won one of those games. Imagine overthinking a home match against Arsenal.

lads, it’s Arsenal.
Bit rich coming from a Spurs fan isn’t?

Well written but I don’t quite get the sentiment.
Guardiola’s set up at the start made perfect sense. He dealt with Arsenal without putting players on the pitch who needed a rest or are out of form.

Bring back Wenger, bruv.
-
• #148743
see the 2nd paragraph which clarifies that statement.
And no for the five odd seasons that pochettino has been in charge. -
• #148744
Had to be said for the five odd years Pochettino has been in charge Arsenal have won considerably more trophies than spurs.
-
• #148745
You could simplify that to “Arsenal have always been the more successful club in north London.”
-
• #148746
Yeah, but do the Gooners know how to really put the pressure on?
I don't think so...

City have harder games remaining than Liverpool. Arguably.
Going to be tight.
-
• #148749
yeah but city won't make them look so hard.
west ham really could have and possibly should have taken that. Allison nearly gifted Carroll at the end.
there's a lot of bedwetting to come yet

Liverpool's logic is obviously that if they bottle it now, hopefully come the end of the season enough time will have passed and the bottle will be distant history, replaced by some other football drama.
Batshuyi to palace is a good move for him and for Palace hope he can show he will score in the Prem.
