I can't help feeling Mr Ronay is getting a bit over-excited here.

Bad news for Squires - he has a deadline for today...
Given his recent tweets I'm guessing he has written a second version just in case.

Somewhere, a large man has just wiped the back of his hand across his lips,
after a settling pint of wine. -

Get to fuck!
Have a Man U fan who works in my team, whose always banging on about how utd should go for pochettino, despite us playing better football, finishing above them, putting the finishing touches to an amazing new stadium, and has a massive amount of influence and clout within the club.
Arsenal have done a better job of transitioning from long term manager to new manager. Utd need to sort out their structural issues first. Get in good/great director of football, figure out how you want to play, and let director of football find the right coach/manager to help you achieve that style, throughout all the youth teams..
Utd went short term trophy hunting and everyone knew it wasn’t going to end well..

First thing i did was take a look at David Squires' Twitter feed.
He also retweeted this yesterday which is amazing:

Methinks the lady doth protest too much, I'd be off in a second if I was the Pooch... Perfect fit...
He'd take half the team with him... And win the league...

"Frank Lampards Manchester United" has a nice ring to it.

You know they will be looking at him
and the pull of Man utd is big.
I would be surprised if he went doesn't mean they don't try. -

I’ve said the same thing ever since Gary Neville started batting his Utd eyes at pochettino.
He won’t leave before the new stadium is finished. He’s got too much invested in it and the team, plus he’s an honourable man who won’t break a contract (I think), plus plus he won’t break faith with the players and their connection to him and the fact they signed contract extensions because he signed a contract extension, plus plus plus, levy would extract the maximum from Utd for releasing him from his contract, and he’s not going to do that when he’s got a stadium to fill, and finally has the means to keep everyone happy wage wise..
Ps pochettino wants to win with this team, and he’s aware his career will be a long one..

Why would he go to a small team?
Teams such as Wolves, Watford, Bournemouth and Manchester United are not to be underestimated.
Ouch!

he’s not going to do that when he’s got a stadium to fill
Well he hasn't managed to do it at Wembley.

Fanciful at best, unrealistic and barking mad at worst... Classic projection, this is sport, it's about winning... Not being second/third/whatever... Pooch wants to win, he isn't a sentimental twat, unlike most fans...

And Man U have more money and cachet than Spurs.

you know that Utd will be looking at Poch at what he has done at Southampton and at spurs and they want a bit of that, he fits the mould of brining young players through improving older players. it's all about if spurs want to back him.
“Merry Christmas, Jose. We’ve got you a present, it’s the sack.”
