been gone a while corn dog. Dave sold up a few years ago and though the new owners kept it as a football pub the transition to something else began.
no crying in beer though. the pub probably serves better beer now. But don’t go there really. Duke of Wellington now my local for football. Plenty of Albion regulars in there.
Though today I watched united get owned at the Leyton Star with @clintsmoker

Shows how long it’s been since I’ve been up that way. #dadlife
Glad you’ve found another pub to watch the big matches at.
I’m currently mooching free sky go access from nct group, and catching the odd spurs game when I can.I am off to Wembley for the inter game, to see if we can salvage this group stage though #pickandchoosesupporter

Liverpool don’t count points difference.
Actually, if you factor in net spend and European royalty-ness, they’re top by miles.

Joint top with the Spuds, Ashley...

I haven't had a chance to catch up with events at the Bridge yesterday, was it as dire a spectacle as I'm led to believe?

Everton were very solid in fairness. Much as Chelsea have got some of the best attacking midfielders in the world, Morata is rarely good enough.
With a 20+ goals a season striker, I think Chelsea will be in the mix for the title next year.

It's another dullard 'joke'. Part of the anti-Liverpool sentiment. The better we are the stronger it becomes.
-
• #147534
Stop playing the victim, your team is one of the most supported football clubs outside Liverpool...

le sigh.
All this bitching about second place/third place/fourth place.
I read today that Aguero and Silva have never got a gong from the Premier League for being good.
Is that right?
They're clearly good.
Why no EPL recognition? -

le sigh.
Oh, come on... It's an open goal with these guys!!!

Part of the anti-Liverpool sentiment.
I think the jokes may be more at your absurdness than against liverpool.

Life is absurd, but not as absurd as some of the people on here.
I am interested only in "nonsense"; only in that which makes no practical sense. I am interested in life only in its absurd manifestations.

i'm sure we were top yesterday ... on our own .... for 30 mins
-
• #147540
Yeah we were but it's not May yet is it. We all know we won't be there in May but it's good to wind people up whilst we are still in with a shot on paper.
City will spend £1091201920192 in January and that will be that -

Fair enough

i wonder if this thursdays meeting between the premier leagues chiefs will get to the bottom of citehs sponsorship deals and the leaked papers
they might just have to get by with their paper thin squad after jan if transfer bans are mooted

In other news I just found out that Tottenhams drink driving keeper lives in the road opposite. Lovely house had it built on a plot.
Maybe Mo Salah will move in next door, given he likes a spot of texting while he's behind the wheel...

oh studger
he says he didnt bet but there is a subclause that states passing on inside information is also against the rules
i reckon he told a mate to bet on his jan transfer / loan -
• #147545
Bit far from Liverpool though, unless he is planning a move to one of the North London clubs.

• #147546
Probably not far off the average distance travelled by fans to home games

the english messi, joe cole announces his retirement

Jokanovic out, Tinkerman in.
I thought that Jokanovic should have been given a bit more time but I'm not surprised that they've done it.

Massive surprise thought Joka would be given a few more games, we looked better shape on Sunday. Hugely grateful for what he did to get Fulham to the promised land, but he seems to be a very stubborn man who wouldn't change and seem to have no play B.
Putting money on us we winning the league new Year, although they it be the Championship

There have always been these one-offs that really stood out when City were not at their current level. (Salah, Kante, Vardy)
This year will be their year.
Unless Hazard does a Mo Salah.
