I think that was better than when I gave away the penalty.
-
• #146828
We weren’t going to mention that.
Good game. 4-5 was close. They just got more penalties than you. Plenty to build on. Enjoyed it. Will be back.
Brilliant atmosphere despite the weather. Must have been 3-400 there.

415 apparently. Madness.
I was gutted at the end but by the time you've shaken hands with about 200 people (and been grabbed and tousled by forumengers) it doesn't feel so bad.

We were all hoping for selfies and autographs. Saw you come into the bar, see us and then dart into the other bar for fear of being molested.
Will take a sign next game “Tommmmmmmm can I have your shirt” and get my daughter to hold it.

• #146831
I didn't even see you in the bar! I tried to find you up there after the game and didn't see any of you again till I bumped into the other three leaving.
South Kilburn next week?

We’re going to try to get to as many home games as we can provided that they don’t clash with Chelsea. Need to leave some time for cycling.

i'd like to echo the sentiments in one of ts's recent posts by saying how much i'm enjoying watching my team play at the minute
that first half vs southampton today is amongst the best 45 minutes of football i've seen , we absolutely bossed it, cracking football -

#4 is a firefighter so can't make every week, but he is a very classy player and has played at a good level, in the Ryman League and captaining teams two leagues above.
#9 has also played Ryman League.
I don't think there's anyone else in the team with as little experience at that level as me to be honest.

@tommmmmmm sounds like a fun day, except for the result of course, but amazing turnout! Out of interest why did the ultras disband?

Lovely touch by Pogba...

Looking forward to tonight's match, bogey team so expecting a close game...

It's a strange feeling supporting a team playing well who have a genuine chance. Of course City got the best result yesterday, increasing their GD against the top teams and they will win the league with their billions and their Pep ups but it's nice to enjoy it.
The lovely thing is being 8 points ahead of the scum with only 6 played.
Come on West Ham! -

Currently dropping points to West Ham. Not good.

As a "collective" there wasn't 100% agreement as to whether to be involved with helping to set up Clapton CFC or whether to continue supporting Clapton FC at away games.
The majority (I think) of the Ultras decided to become heavily involved with setting up Clapton CFC, which I think took the focus away from any activities as an Ultras group, because it wasn't officially something they were doing in their capacity as Ultras. I think some of the Ultras also felt like other things they had been focusing on had been pushed aside to focus on CCFC, which understandably became a bit all-consuming.
The non-CCFC Ultras and the CCFC Ultras then decided that it was best to focus their attentions elsewhere.
It's a shame in some ways, because there are a few people among the sceptical former Ultras who I like a lot but who aren't involved any more, which is sad. A lot of the Brigata Italiana for instance. But every game I go to I see more old faces, so the story is a positive one overall.
Tl;dr- football fan politics.

A different and refreshing type of football fan politics.

Shaqiri. He's a unit isn't he?
-
• #146844
He should be playing for St Helens...
-
• #146845
He only looks that way because he's 5 foot 5.
He's about as wide as he is tall.

I hear Harvey Barnes is still doing well for you guys. There are rumours of us wanting him back in January, but he'd struggle to get in with Maddison playing so well. He'd really benefit from regular football, especially if you're pushing for promotion - this is the longest run of games he's had and he seems to be playing fairly consistently, so I hope it continues.
Still want him back though...
-
• #146847
On the subject of Maddison, great to see him living up to the hype so far. And he's significantly more fouled than Zaha, so Wilf needs to zip it.
-
• #146848
He's fouled more how?
Simple count? Or in more important areas or at more important times?
Actually interested, not being pedantic. -
• #146849
Pedantic, who would suggest such a thing?
Simple count, which I appreciate doesn't take account of the seriousness of the foul, speed at which he was moving, resulting injury, etc. I have no stats on when or where but, from watching games, it tends to be where you'd expect a 10 to get hacked down and usually when he's just turned a player and is about to unleash a devilishly accurate pass to Vardy or Nacho in space in the box, obviously...

He's been great so far.
All the pub chat pre game on Saturday was worrying about him being recalled in January.I'm hoping Leicester see the benefit of leaving him with us until the end of the season...
Highlight of the game so far has been watching @tommmmmmm having a piss behind the goal.
