  • Shouldn't Shaqiri be playing rugby league?

  • ah the dreaded goalkeepers curse is back
he hoofed it past the half way line every kick after the fuck up, route 1

leicester pressurised us in that 2nd half, couldn't take our own medicine, glad to have 3 pts sad to have conceded for the first time this season

  • shaq is a bit barrel chested isn't he
maybe barrel torsoed might be more apt

  • Thought we deserved to get something from that, probably would have done with Vardy.

    Maddison continues to impress.

Shaqiri looks like Harry Enfield's fat, whiney son.

Can't help but like Klopp, always shakes the hands of opposition players at the end. He's everything that Mourinho isn't, other than winning stuff.

  • Allison cost how much?

  • r.5 said he did an interview in the week where he said he took risks that could cost goals

    true news

  • Really good to concede that goal and put to bed all that "Can they go the season without conceding" nonsense. Alisson will learn from that.
Top of the league for now.

  • Liverpool and Man City ominously winning ugly (or certainly at well off their best).

West Ham are listing badly. If Pellegrini wasn’t such a gent, I would love to see them vanish. Nasty owners, nasty fans.

  • Must say, if one judges just desserts by owners, it’s good to see Newcastle and West Ham in the bottom three.

  • On a more important subject, how about a Football thread trip to the Stray Dog to see Clapton CFC’s first ever league game on 22 September?

Or is the thought of real football too much for some of you? Bring the wives and kids. I’m taking mine.

  • Are there crèche facilities?

  • Another good result for Chelsea, Alonso is killing it at the moment... I can see Pedro continuing to be very effective under Sarri, he's always looking for that penetrating pass to get past defences which is exactly what the boss wants... It was interesting to see Hazard's role change as well, much less on the ball in the first half and only started making runs once Bournemouth had tired and opened up a bit in the second half...

Really dizzying football at times, loved it...

  • Where are we in the spurs story?

  • “The sheriff is looking longingly at the door.”

  • Good start, now in a teaching moment!
Glad I didn’t ditch the family for the pub to watch it..

  • I'm in!

First clean sheet yesterday. 4th game unbeaten in a row. It will be a difficult season but I think we're as ready as we can be.

Fans also welcome out West on the 15th...

  • Watford and Liverpool next for you. Should be a walk in the park.

    Hi!

  • Never as simple as you think it’s going to be..

  • Typical isn't it. First time we win 4 out of 4 and two other teams are there with us. Spurs looked v strong yesterday and were so unlucky to lose. I expect them to give us a battering in our next game.

  • Well, one of them has won the title in recent memory... Shouldn't be too much of a surprise, Shirley?

  • a jinking dummy half, all lateral movement, chop tackles and ducking under swinging arms. It would be wonderful.

  • Seeing as two of them were also out of the top flight in recent memory it's not always that clear cut.

  • You'll win the Prem one day, Mike... Maybe even next season...

  • I know this is your reverse hex thing, but Spurs looked anything but strong yesterday. What Watford have shown everyone is that, if you get physical with Spurs, they will struggle. They haven't coped well with pressure under the so-called sheriff and yesterday was another example of it.
