United were much more attacking in a british, high tempo, proper wingers kind of way than any mourinho team..
Even thinking back to that Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo variant they were all over teams. Personnel changed but Ferguson was all about going for the goals from what I can remember. -

haha saw this earlier did lol

Mourinho’s first Chelsea team were like that, Duff and Robben attacking down the flanks, Gudjohnsen, Hasselbaink and Fat Frank banging in the goals.

I'm remembering the 451 with Veronica squeezed in.
I'm remembering a lot of shit in the 80s.Is this an example of recall bias?

Beating everyone out the traps, smashing 4 goals past every one.
I bet if you searched this thread, corndog might even eulogise about that team.

Can't say I disagree with any of that.
continuity is good, and I still think it will be either Spurs or Liverpool that mount a challenge to City, but I still want us to sign someone/anyone (just not another sissoko) to challenge incumbents and/or fill a gap..
We're good enough to be up there (Champions league places), just not sure we've got enough firepower off the bench to change games and win us points when we need to, either when we're chasing the game against a better side, or looking to unlock a more defensive side, that have come for a point. -

I forgot that team, I did really like them, they were good to watch.
I also enjoyed his Real Madrid team when they were at their counter attacking best. If they swiped the ball off you and you were caught short at the back, it felt like they would always score. -

Was this thread going when that team was up and running?
If so I probably did. -

Sunday league spech

Mourinho's 2nd place finish last season was a disaster. Klopp's 4th place finish and return to Rodgers-era brilliance was incredible.

not sure if you're being serious?!? (fry.jpg)
71 games out of 1035 ended in a 0-0 draw and you call that substantial? -

I know nothing about football, absolutely nothing but a family friend has asked me to buy her a Man United football shirt for when I go home next month, she asks me which is the most popular player in the team and I shall get that number shirt... I think she is getting it as a present for someone... not sure...
I know this is probably a fairly subjective question, but objectively, whose name shall I get?
Or shall I convince her to go plain?
Cheers -

Paul Pogba just won the world cup with France and is one of their biggest stars, but plays crap for United... Number 6...
-
• #145819
Phil Jones?

United should always be 7, shouldn't it?
But it's that cock pony Sanchez right now.I'd go with felliani 😍😍😍
-
• #145821
Convince her to get a City shirt, United are just plain embarrassing at present.
-
• #145822
Better still, a half and half shirt.
-
• #145823
Half Liverpool/Half Man Utd. That'd be really cool.
-
• #145824
Get her a Pogba shirt.
Serious answer.

• #145825
I was serious about felliani.
Think he has a lot of natural talent but maybe his attitude ain't quite there he was brilliant when he arrived. Just an exciting player when on form and think Sari could get the best out of him like he did Mertens
