  • When does the football season start?

  • First time I have seen itv coverage for years (with volume) must say Roy Keane is as clinical a pundit as he was a player .

  • Unsubscribes

  • I'd happily watch ITV coverage, given the absolute shite we have here (China). State coverage consists of karaoke and talking (still!) about Messi and Ronaldo (who is known as C罗, pronounced cee-lwor) beforehand, then during the game the commentators don't know the names of any players so spend the whole time shouting "好球" (good ball). The bar I was in this morning streamed from Myanmar and it was infinitely better.

    Be grateful.

  • 2-0 was on a plate, tough decision to make in the moment though.

Clinical as a player? I think he sent more opponents to the casualty department than healed them...

  • @hats - have been in your shoes many times over the years.
Not slagging itv off at all . Tend to watch my football in Pubs with no sound so absolutely no idea what pundits are saying. Will watch match of the day when my team don’t lose but my team is West Brom so you do the maths.
Just saying that Keane was good in his assessment and typically unflinching. England probably have wasted their best chance without playing badly or letting themselves down . Keane as a player proved how mentally tough he was and knew exactly what to do in that situation and I don’t think he sees a midfielder in his mound who would have taken that game by the scruff of the neck or will do in the future. Personally I thought four years ago that was Henderson’s remit but he isn’t made of that kind of material.

  • ^^ +1 for this. As a youngster, I worked in the bar at Forest for a bit (a while after he’d left) and some of the guys there with longer memories thought he had a screw loose.

  • That would be the mentally tough Keane who spinelessly walked out on his country at the World Cup.

  • Likewise, see you all for the 2020 euros

  • That would be the mentally tough Keane who spinelessly walked out on his country at the World Cup.

Yep, same one. Little Cork diva.

  • TBH I'm more interested in where VW are going to go with their "Complete Confidence" adverts.

The result has given us a big cliffhanger that they need to fill...

  • Enjoyable game of football and I’d say the best team won in the end.

England went far further than anyone dreamt of before the start of the tournament. Hope this group of players get their chances at club level to prove themselves.

  • For some reason I think we would have given France a run for their money. But think France will turn over Croatia.

Will be an interesting final especially as a lot of those French players were part of the team that lost the euros in 2016, certain amount of redemption happening there..

  • oh well that's that then.
Well done England really didn't expect a semi final esp with a young team.
thought it was gonna go England's way when they hit the post but alas not.

    extra time England looked lost

  • we're so winning it next time

  • How’s Colombia coming along with their petition?

  • Now that's over and done with we can get on with the season proper...

CR7 to Juve could have a massive knock-on effect for us, I can see Hazard pissing off to the fascists along with Tibo... Kante to PSG, Willian will probably fuck off to Manure as well.... Conte back at training, what's going on? Let's get Sarri in and start sorting ourselves out, Chelsea is a fucking back office shambles right now...

  • That’s good, hopefully now everyone will stop going crazy.

My eight year old daughter on learning the result this morning.

  • Are you going to stop jumping out from behind various doors in the house shouting "it's coming home"?

  • I've finally run all my checks and stats and can confirm that England have lost their 2018 WC semifinal

  • How come we couldn't wear our lucky red kit?

  • I’ve been remarkably restrained about it, I’ve been here before and remember the crushing sense of loss when your dreams lay in tatters around you.

Her classmates on the other hand, have been going mental.
