  • so a draw would be better for both teams.
see austria vs west germany 1982

  • love it the madness of the W.cup!!
nasty stitch up that was in 1982.

  • Yeah I remember that stitch up in 1982

  • That game was after the Cameroon(?) game so they knew what needed to be done, hence the final group games now kicking off at the same time. FIFA would come down hard on teams if they tried to repeat the farce of 1982 too, so best just to play for the win.

  • "there is now two goals in it. SA need another and they also need a two goal defeat for Mexico here. What a turn-up. "

    dare i say it...incroyable...

  • So let me get this right. A guy was using a building to wipe his arse with? What part of the building?

It was the bit of the building that they hang the toilet roll from

  • im torn want S.A to carry on as hosts but love how Mexico play hhmmm , there's only one way to find out....

    come on Mexico!!

  • FIFA would come down hard on teams if they tried to repeat the farce of 1982 too, so best just to play for the win.

i'm willing to go out on a limb here and say SA WILL go through.

even though uruguay do not need to score another goal.

  • I don't see how a draw is good for uruguay? surely they'd like to screw over their south american brethren as hard as possible and send them home, or are they all hombres or something?

  • Mexico = concacaf. not South America. but Central.

    FAIL.

  • fair enough...doesn't explain why a draw is good for uruguay?

  • it isn't.

  • good.

  • Uruguay are top of the group aren't they? Mexico are second. A draw means the situation stays the same. both teams through. regardless of what SA do.

  • and that is good because....

  • draw could be good for uruguay as they could play half pace not pick up injuries have a strole about and go through..but both teams are playing for the win to top the group so its all guff really!

  • But both teams will go for the win to avoid Argentina

  • aye!!

  • are you titwanks gonna stay out for the skippo game tomorrow night, if england lose?

  • are you titwanks gonna stay out for the skippo game tomorrow night, when england lose?

    Fixed.

  • What, you mean celebrate? Hardly...

  • i could be tempted to stay out for the skippo game.

  • As always happens at world cups, poor refs threaten to derail the tournament. Let mw say right at the top I'm not for video replay, just better refereeing. Was watching the chile switzerland game at Miami airport, and a studs up tackle went in, first five mins, red brandishes yellow card, immediately makes rod for own back, because all the players are saying for every other challenge that comes in, that's as bad and that deserves a yellow as well. Someone's bound to get sent off, behrami was kind of hard done by, flailed his elbows about and Chilean player acted well, but the ref was all about imposing order, as most world cup refs seem to be and it was never going to end 11 vs 11.
On the french issue, domenech is a cock and I would say right now wholly responsible for the fiasco that has embroiled french football, how they let him keep the job after the euros I don't know.
Fuck Mexico just missed a sitter, wide open, diving header wide of post.

  • What, you mean celebrate? Hardly...

i just meant that i didn't want you to say that you'd be out, only to go home sulking if you lost. i have no beef with the englishes.

  • Why would we sulk if we get knocked out? I couldn't give a shite
