really interesting how some of the younger english players are heading abroad on loan, ones that caught the eye are Ademola Lookman to RB Leipzig, Reece Oxford to Borussia Mönchengladbach, Rolando Aarons to Hellas Verona, and Chuba Akpom to Sint-Truidense.
Ademola Lookman especially heading off to Germany was a shock, even though it shows Allardyce's need to win now, and results being the all important thing, rather than player development. Lookman had appeared decent, wonder if he gets another chance when he returns from Germany.

The Aarons one is interesting - the Verona manager, Pecchia, was Benitez's assistant at Newcastle for a bit. Hope he does well, he's got talent but has had two ACLs and other minor injuries. He started the first two games in the championship before he got injured so I think Benitez had plans for him, but it just hasn't happened for him (yet).

Lookman apparently forced the move and to be honest I don't blame him. There's been almost no consequences to playing badly for Everton since Allardyce took charge. Fans have been frustrated that he hasn't been given a chance and after he did quite well in the FA Cup derby he wasn't even in the next squad. I think he's given up and decided to try and prove himself at RB Leipzig. I wish him all the luck and hope he comes back a better player and reaps the benefits of living and playing abroad. He's a great talent.

We were in for Lookman and nearly had the deal done apparently. I heard BFS tried to convince him to stay in England but he forced the move through to Leipzig instead.
Shame, as he would've been just what we needed on the wing for the last half of the season, but we ended up with Kacey Palmer instead.
Hopefully Palmer will be good for us, but we are unlikely to be able to play him in his most effective position down the middle that often.

West Ham stepping it up a few notches from casual racism.
I’m actually surprised they’re doing something about it.

Crystal Palace’s academy director has been suspended following allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards young players at the Premier League club.
Palace became concerned after claims that Gary Issott may have attempted to take a shower with members of Palace’s Under-18s team following an away match earlier this season.

Wtf is wrong with people?

Guardiola only naming 6 subs as City don't have enough players. What a fucking bellend.

The year is 2024.
Space X has put humans on mars.
Cech is yet to get his 200th clean sheet. -

If the season ends with the table as it today, the longest serving clubs in the Premier would be:
Chelsea
Man Utd
Man City
Liverpool
Arsenal
Spurs
EvertonAnd Swansea

• #140915
Meaning Swansea have been in the PL longer than any other club apart from the ones you mentioned?
Shows how much flux there has been seeing as Swansea and Man City were also in the third tier in living memory.

Nice to see Chequebook Pep giving the youth a chance.
-
• #140917
He has chucked Diaz and Zinchenko in this year but the decision to only name six subs as some sort of protest is pathetic.
-
• #140918
What's the story on that? Didn't make the news in Oz...
-
• #140919
PL allows you to name 7 players as subs. Pep named 6 claiming "We don't have any more players, that is the reason why"
People are seeing it as an insult to the City development process because he could have easily picked up a 2nd team player or youth player for the experience but he didn't. Perhaps a testament to Pep's attitude to developing talent as a whole but I think that's a stretch. -
• #140920
I don't know what City's injury problems are, but the starting 11 and the (up to) 7 subs have to be chosen from a squad of 25 registered with the Premier League at some point. Pep wouldn't be allowed to put anyone outside this squad on the bench.

Gary Neville was certainly outraged by it all, and NO-ONE knows more about football management than that rat-faced wankstain.

Pretty sure lord Ferguson did similar.

And a late winner. Lovely. Or not. My days.
Some lovely results last night. Liverpool move up to third without even playing. How nice.
