Not sure what you meant in the post I replied to. Made me think that you maybe misunderstood me.

Are we now on the "is it racist/no but it is offensive" part of the discussion?

A quick google shows that David Squires is aged 43 and from Swindon....
The plot thickens

Can't see the link for some reason. Does it say anything about bad trainer choices?

Apparently he recently relocated to Australia...

I watched Dambusters the other day and I said to the wife "do you know what the dogs called"? - she said "no" and when I told her she was shocked, because back in the day that's how it was. hasn't been acceptable for a long time and hope it doesn't come back. it's also calling someone fat isn't good either. If you need to know the dogs name google: Dambusters dog name.
in 1999 ITV censored it and removed the name!right back to football, Leeds all the way :o)))

It's worse.
I hate cluedo.

My most recent viewing of this scene (Film 4 a few months ago I think), it most assuredly was not censored. Though an ITV version I watched about 15 years ago was.

My money was on it being that dvt chap from ‘boro but the whole Aussie thing has thrown me. Can’t be slain as Squires is witty and on point.
Must be a lurker, probably started out as one of Clive’s fanboys before he was outed as someone with a Trumpesque opinion on Liverpool supporters.

My wit and observation skills really do single me out as a prime suspect here. I've never been to Swindon tho. I've heard it's full of lost souls searching desperately for some form of cultural identity.

Sorry to be late to the party on the 'black face'/Greizmann discussion, but I think the main reason that it is offensive is that black face came about with the birth of the film industry in America. It was not seen as an appropriate work place for African Americans and White Americans didn't want to see them on their screens.
I think it is a very present reminder of recent oppression as films like Birth of a Nation, employed white as black, and portrayed black as evil.
You are all entitled to think as you wish, but I certainly perceive what Griezmann did as offensive and massively unnecessary.

Well in Bristol. Lovely to see that

Apparently they were ‘lucky’
That cunt has no class whatsoever

he also said this but that gets glossed over.
"I think a beautiful day for football because a team from a lower division won and got into (the) semi-final. A big day for them and a big day for their supporters, so I congratulate them. I don't want that I say they were a bit lucky to be the main thing of it. They main thing if it is that they won and they fought hard for that. "
agreed he can be classless and some of his antics are cringeworthy but think he's being hard done by here.

• #140024
No - he's the absolute pits and I won't have a good word said about him.
The sooner he's gone from British football the better.

Sums up most UK football journalists if they report:-
"I think a beautiful day for football because a team from a lower division won and got into (the) semi-final. A big day for them and a big day for their supporters, so I congratulate them. I don't want that I say they were a bit lucky to be the main thing of it. They main thing if it is that they won and they fought hard for that. "
as...
"...they were a bit lucky..."
Hah just came here to post that!
